Just finished my NX-2000 by Round 2/ AMT....
What a great retool by the company.... Very accurate now.... Its even a bit better than the DST.....
I airbrushed this kit and actually hand stenciled my own aztek templates and airbrushed them on.....

He looks so realistic it makes me miss TNG. I hope the new show will make good use of Picard and many of the TNG crew.
I know what you are saying VF.... Im both excited and cautious.... I dont want to be let down if the new show isnt very good.

First they are not contoured to the head sculpt's brow bones and second... Picard NEVER had jet black eyebrows....
After a while of looking at the show I decided to work on the paint of the face sculpt....

Building the 18 inch retooled Generations Enterprise D. The kit is great.... New tooling allows now a dome base with metal rod, the kit is cast in clear for lighting (Mine won't be lit).... I also bought the 6 page set of Aztec decals from AMT, who had the best decal producers, Cartograf of Italy, make some amazing Generations decals.
I'm in the process of building sub assemblies.... Lots of work but it's all good fun....
I will post pictures soon....

Beautiful build. I may need to get one of those.
Hey JMW..... It's a great kit.... but only 7" long.... It's like a jumbo eaglemoss size.
I would be willing to say, though, it's the most accurate model we have ever gotten of the mean little ship.
Do yourself a favor and make sure you get one!

Looks great dude (agree about the grey, shame they did that because the prototype was lovely and blue), but still, can't wait to get mine!
It's not real bad Jay K..... Just a tad too gray.... I found a great color for the base color though....
First use Tamiya white primer so the blue stays accurate.... I've learned if you use a grey primer it darkens the top color..... I used Tamiya AS-5..... Light Blue Luftwaffe.... It's a great hull color.... Any other color would have made this much more gray.
Hope this helps..... LLAP
