I still love Blade Runner. In fact Visually, the Blu-Ray Transfer I think is still a stunning movie. Its not high action flick and never did well in theaters, but gain a good fan following (and still has one).

Apparently they are doing a sequel,  they had the  the original Blade Runner writer do the script, but now they are bring in someone else.

I think I agree with the article above... Blade Runner is one of those movies that really doesnt need a sequel, and might be best left alone.

Any other blade runner fans out there? what do you think?

Truth be told, I'd much rather have a sequel than a remake.

I heard about this several months ago. Apparently Ridley Scott wants to do the remake, casting a new Deckard. I also heard that Harrison Ford will appear in the film, maybe a cameo or maybe more than that. I have the Briefcase 5 disc set released a few years back that includes some goodies from the movie. A great movie! Saw it in the theater when it released way back in 1981 i think it was.

To be honest I dont want anything to do with it.  It needs to stand on its own.

What I don't understand is why Ridley would want to remake it. Its one of his master piece. As it sits and he's done like 5 director cuts re-tweaking it over the years, so he should be happy to let it stand on what it is.

I'm not sure what a sequel will do for a movie like this.
