The one I tried in Forbidden Planet Dublin yesterday had the same rough sounds.
The sculpt, paint job, and scale are all top-notch, but the sound quality and the LED's colour are minus points, for me.
The clincher is the price. I'm pretty strapped at the moment, so 56.99 on a roleplay toy (on-shelf price) is too much to justify at the moment :-(
I'll check the internet... Maybe it can be had For less... It is SO pretty!
Glad to hear its not just mine then... Its probably too loud for its own speaker.... oh and by the way Mine was £48.99 - in the Leeds branch which is notorious for overcharging..... I think its only £49.99 online......
anyone else want to chime in on the sound quality?

I'd like to hear a few more opinions on the sound quality of the disruptor, if a few more members don't mind chiming in on this.....

It's loud. The single blast and rapid fire sounds a bit staticy but I don't know if that's the way it supposed to sound or due to the sheer volume overloading the speaker. The other sounds, Disrupt and setting change, are clear as a bell.
