The new packaging isn't what we should be going OMG over. It's OMG they painted the phaser strips and the little extra bits plastic around the bridge! They were just badly stuck on little grey bits of plastic last time, now they've bothered to apply some bloody paint to them!

Awesome ship though, I never got the first release but may get this one via a US online store since the UK customs are scared of the magnets....

DSTZach, if you guys would like to have a regular TOS-1701 to display alongside these ships, I'm more than willing to loan out my TOS-1701 from the original release until y'all do a new run of it for the small rental fee of one of those Bird of Prey samples.
I know that's not going to happen, but one can dream.
