Got two on the way. Maybe them selling out fast might get DST to produce more aliens from Star Trek.

I got excited and thought someone had some picts up :-(

Anyway, the single Romulan was sold out long ago during pre-oders. If you want one, you'll have to buy the set, and they are still available!

I was never sure whether or not this was just a generic head sculpt, or based on an actual character who appeared on "Star Trek". After watching "Balance of Terror" again, however, I'm quite sure it's based on Robert Chadwick as the unnamed Romulan scope operator. Now more than ever this seems like such a strange choice for a figure.

DST won't put out figures based on major characters played by Mark Lenard, Whoopi Goldberg, Cirroc Lofton, Denise Crosby, Majel Barrett, Grace Lee Whitney, or Armin Shimerman, but they make one for this guy who played an unnamed character in ONE episode of the original series? blink.gif They're a buncha looneys. tongue.gif I just hope they are aware of how well this figure sells so the sales will motivate them to put out the much more deserving Mark Lenard Commander figure.

Well, I think we have to remember that this romulan was going to be a TRU exclusive. Originally DST was shopping the Mark Lenard and the Romulan Kirk at the same time... if they had buyers for everything we would have gotten the Mark Lenard Romulan too!

Not that I expect these are going to indicate anything selling well, maybe the Rom. Kirk/Spock set might be more helpful though. Honestly, if it does well in DST's eyes, it would be a small kick in the bucket to produce Leonard's head on an existing Romulan body.
PLEASE...!!!

Heck! I'd take just the head in a baggy as a con exclusive!

I am just happy to get a new figure. A generic romulan is fine with me.

Ive said it before, Id be shocked not to see the Leonard/Kirk set eventually released. DST has invested in the romulan mould and they will use it to its full extent. Now with what looks to be strong sales of the Romulan, that will only strengthen my opinion that these will see the light of day soon.

I wish sales would justify a female Romulan commander from "The Enterprise Inccident"!

The Wave seems to be selling well enough... BBTS has 37 sets left in stock. NFC looks like they have 2 sets and 9 cases left that can be ordered... not sure what AFX or EE have left.

But if you want this wave, I wouldn't sit on the sideline too long!

I dunno yet, Kang for me was a pretty easy find and cheap too so I'm going to wait a while and collect the ships before I get the Romulan. He's bound to appear on ebay sooner or later.

Agreed.

And while I understand, and have received the answer that the "Unnamed Romulan" was part of the TRU process. I always thought it was odd that we saw the Mark Lenard sculpt at Toy Fair and not the nameless guy, then the TRU line up comes through with nameless guy and the Mark Lenard figure was never listed as part of a "wave" or "special release." I never understood why Mark Lenard wasn't the TRU Romulan...why did they sculpt another head to make this no-name guy? Is it because Mark Lenard wore red and this guy wore blue? Was it cheaper to run Romulan Kirk and Unnamed Guy's bodies at the same time? If so, at least that probably means you guys are almost definitely getting that two-pack. (Personally not interested...but this is not a place to rant about Kirk/Spock two packs)

Don't get me wrong...a new figure, and an alien on top of that, is a great thing! It's just that the Mark Lenard sculpt was SO good that this guy makes no sense to me otherwise. I hope we get to see that one.

Frankly, I'd love a Mark Lenard Romulan, Salt Vampire, and Horta wave. (ah...dreaming...) Regardless, I'm super pumped about my impending No-Name Romulan.

Oh he'll pop up on ebay, everything does.

Is this wave being offered by anyone else besides the 4 internet sites previously named?

The Kang Wave was available overseas with forbidden planet UK. Forbidden Planet clearanced them out so low that I ordered some, had them shipped from the U.K. and they were still cheaper then buying them here. I only ever saw 1 Kang on the pegs at TRU, so I can understand why they were cheap for people over seas.

But, I'm betting this run is lower then what they were doing for TRU.

Anyhow... who's got pictures??!!

As far as I know I've not seen them in the UK or on Forbidden Planet's websites (international and UK) or on Play.com or Amazon.co.uk. I did see them being sold as a set a while back but for some reason they were removed???
