Looks like they got the paint right on Kirk's lips for this one. Now why couldn't they do that for "The Enemy Within" Kirk?

Got my Romulan Kirk 2 pack yesterday. He looks great...with one exception. He has a paint flaw in his right eye that makes him look like he has a dead eye.

Seems the DeLorean came in yesterday...so you should be good to go. I still get to wait for Kirk/Spock. sad.gif

I went to check and just realized that I didn't actually have this in my preorder list. sad.gif Now it is, but I'll have to wait for the next shipment. D'oh!

Yeah, but that would be cool to distinguish him if you have a extra one wink.gif I'm thinking once I open mine up, I'm going to darken one of them's hair or something unsure.gif

I got #674. I love the Kirk. The Spock is ok, but lazy IMO. It seems every rubber shirt DST item I get now has a small twisty tie indention in it, like they don't allow them to fully cool before packing them. Do they need all damn twisty ties? It's a job just to remove them if you don't have nail clippers handy.

I sent DST an e-mail about this for the Q & A column. I told them how people are annoyed by the indentation of the twisties against the torsos of the figures and asked if they could do something to prevent this from continuing to happen. I was promptly ignored. I guess they thought the complaint was trivial, yet people continue to be frustrated by this. rolleyes.gif

Hello, I baaaaaaaaaaaacccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! smile.gif

I've been in this game too long now to know that any complaint is trivial when it comes to QC. I don't think DST are really in the game of producing "collectors' items" where such things as indentations left by twisty ties matters.

Anyhoo, I've just taken delivery of Nos. 393 and 395 in this run of figures. I also got Nos. 202 and 203 because play.com sent me four Enterprise Incident packs and forgot the to send me the two pilot epsiode packs ordered. They are now on their way back and I hope that whomever gets them eventually won't mind the buckled boxes caused by play.com's policy of sending figures out in blue plastic bags.

I've noticed something else about these figures. The Romulan Kirk is orange - not just orange, but Essex orange! I originally thought this was a paint mistake because Romulans are green-blooded and Shatner should have been made up with Nimoy-yellow, but they didn't make him up with that in all the stills I could find from that show. I guess make-up weren't following through with the idea that Romulans are green-blooded, because I don't think Joanne Linville wore Nimoy-yellow either. Maybe it was an expensive blend. **Shrugs**

Finally got my hands on TOS season 3, and my wife and I watched The Enterprise Incident a couple nights ago. It was a really good episode, now I'm wishing I would have ordered the Romulan from BBTS while it was available separately, and wishing I could get Romulan Kirk separate from Spock. I would order the 2 pack, but I've been spending too much money on Transformers lately to be buying excess Trek figs.
They look pretty nice though.

At last I got my Enterprise Incident figures on friday... as well as the Gorn and Battle Scarred Kirk.

Wow... this was a long wait! (I ordered from Rick and still am waiting for the "Where no man has gone before" pack)

Anyway, here are some pix:

Since I ordered two packs to get some customization fodder... here are the results:

Cant wait to get mine. Was the Gorn and battle scarred Kirk worth buying if you already have the original wave 3 figures?

Not really... as Sallah said in his review, the Gorn is only a little darker, then the original was and the Kirk is just a standard Kirk with extra paint to mimic his "battle damage"... wink.gif

Here are some pix of the two:

Just got 931 and 936 of the "Fascinating" Spock and Romulan Kirk. Only thing new in this set is the heads. I like the new Spock expression, looks better in person than in pictures IMO. Kirk looks pretty good too. I wish DST would have made a new right handed LLAP hand for Spock, we got the same old erroneous left handed LLAP hand again. I think i am pleased for the most part with the set though.
