So I'm on ignore for throwing out what was basically a joke?! Good to know. And since I joke a lot I guess it won't be seen much here then,I can joke all I want!! YAAAY!!!! LOL!!!! Trekkers DO have a sense of humour,right? lol.

In what way is STD not real true sf storytelling? Just curious.

I do actually count the Who tv movie from 96 as Who,McGann IS the eighth Doctor,lol! But one tv movie isn't exactly much,at least we've had three Trek movies since 05.

I too hope that all this reboot thing will soon be over and we'll get back to new and exciting stuff soon. Trek doesn't need any more reboots and such,just a continuation.

I do count the last three movies,since they are real Trek as well. So 2005 to 2009 isn't that much of a gap. But maybe what Trek needs,and I'm hoping STD will be,are good stories and something new. Let it evolve and catch our interest again. I agree that dooming a show to hell before anyone has actually seen it is kinda backwards. I'm still looking forward to actually seeing it. If it fails,then take a break,lol!

Love Starlog,still have all the ones I managed to find,which wasn't easy back then living in this dump of a country,lol! Had to pick up a lot of them every time I went to the UK. Wish it was still around,or came back,like Starburst did.....kinda the UK version of Starlog,lol!

Send them a message on thier FB page,that's what I've done from time to time. The US CS never answered my e-mails,but the UK one did.....after a few weeks and three or four e-mails. Like I always say....never give up,NEVER surrender. lol!

Guess I missed the episode or movie where only Spock is on the Enterprise,lol!

 

And I will ALWAYS hope for another ST movie!

 

I've watched STB a few times now and I really do love it,and that's why I hope they do another movie with this cast.

I'm just gonna do what I always do with new shows and movies,be it Trek or otherwise.......wait and see. I read less and less comments these days as they're just so full of nitpicky negative stuff,especially ST and SW socalled fans. I tend to think that if they can make a better movie or tv show,then do! Don't just sit there and SAY what should be done. lol! Yeah,yeah,I know it's not THAT easy,lol!

Actually,Spock is kinda off too. He kinda reminds me of Spock in that beer ad some years ago,lol! But that could be just the display one. I sure hope so.

 

And start saving for that gorgeous Franklin. 600 bucks? You must be joking! Try closer to 6000. It's made in America,and a high end collectible. The others are made in China,like that Falcon,which is also really good btw,and therefore much cheaper.

 

And of course,after another great chat with Bob,and this other guy,I'm VERY happy about some stuff that I've been wanting for years! Non Trek stuff,so not for you guys,lol! The other guy even showed me some pics on his phone,but it's a couple of years away. But hey,if I can wait three years for a frickin' Enterprise-J from EM,I can sure wait for this. It's LiS related. And if you're a Questairan,like me,they will make you even more happy!

Not to mention some other stuff I've seen in the past at thier booth that never came out. Two things I actually wanted were new movie Kirk in his captain's chair,in a kinda animated style,and a Tardis they had on display just a few years ago. None of it was released,and when I asked about it two years ago I just got some mumbo jumbo from thier lawyer,lol!

 

But what Bob and the other guy told me today was MUCH more promising.

Well,no Reliant,no ST Select Borg. But then again, I didn't even see that Khan fig or the TNG phaser. LOL!

 

Went by the Wand booth,the guys who make sonic screwdrivers and that TOS phaser and communicator,and we started talking and they asked me what would I want next,lol! And what I would I want from here onwards. So we talked about this and that,and it was fun,lol! Yes,they asked if they should do a TNG phaser as well.

 

And QMx are really killing it,IF everything they have on display will actually be released.

 

Also bumped into the Moff and his son,for those of us who like Who as well,and had a nice quick chat with him too. lol.

And luckily that's all they are.....opinions. We can agree and we can disagree. I love the new movies,and I also love pizza and Mountain Dew. There,I said it. lol! But really,everyone is actually entitled to their own opinions,you like what you like. Plain and simple. And I won't say amything about Trek fandom as a whole,since what I always thought was a myth is apparently not.

 

JJ movie still? So Transformers are Spielberg movies? LOL!

All I can say is......I don't like exclusives. Never have and never will. Oh don't get me wrong,some of'em are really cool and nice,just don't like everything surrounding it,getting them,scalpers,that kinda thing. So I love the concept and idea of exclusives,just not the rest. If that makes any sense. lol.

These popcorn flicks?! They are all popcorn flicks,lol! What,is there a deeper meaning in the old movies? Nah,all just fun entertaining movies. Some more than others. Of course,that's just an opinion,like any other,lol.

 

Yes,there are messages and whatnot in there,but still fun movies.

 

I'm sure this one will be as fun and entertaining as the previous movies,and that's just what it is.....a movie.
