So, since i have read that the only difference between the DST TMP phaser and the TWOK phaser is just the colored lights on top, is the TMP phaser worth buying? I know some folks buy everything regardless if its the exact same thing in 20 different packages, heck i buy stuff like that sometimes too if its a Spock item, but if you are planning to open it up and play with it, is it worth buying it?

I thought it was. But there is more differences then just the lights.

The trigger is different, as well as the actual buttons that the different lights are in.

I like the role play stuff though...

I got my TMP phaser today and I like it a lot. I mean i really liked the TWOK version but I think the colored lights on the TMP one give it a little more edge. I like it.

I just wish they had given the trigger the attention to detail like FHC's prop has!

I guess it would have either been too expensive for DST or they didnt research enough to know there was a difference. I didnt realize there was a difference until yesterday when i started reading up on it.

Finally got one! I think it was worth the money and i like it. The buttons on top, the colored lights, the overall color of the phaser and the trigger are the differences i noticed between my TWOK and the TMP phasers. Now my daughter and i can have a phaser dual. I wish it would work on cats and Deer for real. Now we need a STTSFS Phaser and some communicators from the movies.
