So, I didn't buy any of the new figures, be they 6" or 3.75". Until now. I thought I'd better at least get Nero because, regardless of whether or not Playmates keeps the license for the new film, Nero would not be made again.

Anyhow...I really like him...the detail is really nice and he's a good size. Of course, as you all know, he's not compatible with any DST stuff...but that's okay.

Do we know how these are selling or has there been any further word on the "full Trek license" option?

I'm getting tired of waiting for new DST stuff and would love some good news. I think I would consider investing in Playmates 6" other-Trek figures if I knew we could get complete crews. Am I the only one?

Though the 6" line looks good, I don't have the room to display them. So I got all the 3 3/4" figures. I hope Playmates gets the full license so I can get the TOS and TNG crews in 3 3/4" scale. DST posted an "Ask DST About Star Trek" question/answer blog post on Monday and they said they aren't going to go forward with a 3 3/4" line (they had been tossing the idea around this year I guess). http://www.artasylum...r-trek-edition/

I'll second that. I would love to see Playmates get a shot at the rest of the franchise. I want it all in 3 3/4"...figures, playsets and ships. Their 6" figures aren't all that bad either!
