Did anyone else catch the George W. Bush allegories in the movie?

I was sitting through my second viewing and went, "Oh wait a minute! This is a lot like Bush and the war on terrorism." When I talked to my sister the next day, she asked me if I had noticed anything new this time around, and I told what I had noticed. Both her and her husband about fell on the floor because they had heard talk from church members about it.

I have to say this was stretch for me. I usually go to a movie and enjoy it for it's entertainment value. This time, I guess I was able to pay more attention and let my brain think.

I'm not really a comic fan these days and I really don't do superheroes at all, but I've always had a soft spot for Batman because he's not really a SH in terms of having super powers and he's really a guy with a social conscience and a few cool gadgets. Added to that he's a bit posh, intense and cultured and I think all of those aspects came out in this film. The gravelly voice of Batman made sense to me merely as a form of disguise, and because it sounds intimidating and other-wordly. Bale was pretty near perfect because out of the Batman costume you really can't imagine him in it, and that makes sense too.

My little girl gave it this review

It is the best movie ever.

And I think she means it.

I have seen it twice now, and will see it a 3rd time soon. All that I can say about how good this movie is has already been said by Julie and many others. Suffice to say, this is one of the greatest movies ever made.

I have to say that I understand why they ended it that way. But, I don't think they had to place the blame that way.

I will always like Batman (1989) better than any of the ones after it including the last two Bale movies. Nicholson's Joker was the Joker as far as i am concerned. I guess the thing that turns me off of so many movies and tv shows these days is that they try to make them too realistic, and i like Fantasy and Sci Fi. I enjoyed the 60's Batman series more than i like the Dark Knight. Michael Keaton's Batman seemed dark enough to me to be a brooding vigilante, but also likable as Bruce Wayne and as Batman. I really dont like Bale as either Bruce Wayne or as Batman.

I have to say that ledger did a great job (better then great I would never had guessed that was him) as the New Joker, but it was not the Joker as I know The Joker. The Joker I knew would not just shoot batmen he would tie him up and have him shot by Sharks with fricken lasers on their heads. Hence-the joke. I really think that we could have called this part in the movie any name and it would still have been as great. Maybe we could have called him The Wacko and it still would have been just as great a performance, I just think that they remove some of the small things that made The Joker The Joker.

I still give it two thumbs up and to quote my little girl. "Best Movie EVER"
