Fav Characters - Odo, Kira, Kai Winn, Female Changeling

Wow!!

Another Kai Winn fan! biggrin.gif

I don't see how you couldn't love that women. Fletcher is one of the most evil people around, & she played such an awesome role.

She was also excellent in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" & "Flowers in the Attick".

Though I do have to go with Dukat for a favourite villian...he's just such a great character. Though he has some stiff competition with Weyoun, Winn & the female Changling also playing very good bad guys.

Out of interest...what is the story behind Arron Eisenberg (sp)...is he simply a small, young looking man? or does he have an illness? (I don't think 'illness' is the right word, sorry)

I personaly hate Winn. I thought that she was one of the most annoying characters in the history of Trek and when she was killed it was one of the happiest in Star Trek history for me. I have nothing against the actress but I hated that character . But since DS9 had so many great characters she was relatively easy to ignore. I guess every character has it's fans though. I know I have liked more than a few that others thought where horrible.

I hated Winn in the beginning too, but when I finally realized we were supposed to hate her, I fell in love with her. She was such a conniving, back-handed, devious villain that you almost thought that she wasn't. The tension between her and Kira was always so fascinating. Some of my favorite moments in DS9 were when Winn realized that Sisko was truly meant to play a part in the Prophets plan for Bajor, when she realized she wasn't, and when Kira realized that her faith in Winn was displaced.

As for Eisenbeg, yes, he is a short guy, but I think the youth aspect is from his voice and makeup. Do a Google image search and you'll see he doesn't look as young as you think.

He is just a small man. After Nog entered Starfleet I realy started liking his character. Nog had one of the most evolved stories in Trek IMHO.

That's odd. When Winn dies was when I realized I really liked her. Her trying to help "the Emissary" defeat Dukat/Pahwraiths was her defining moment.

I liked Dax, so I liked Jadzia AND Ezri. I liked Jadzia's confidence with Dax and I loved Ezri's confusion with Dax.

I can't remember certain episodes from DS9 really. I liked all the episodes when they were at war and off the station.

I loved Weyoun. I think the female Changling was probably the best villian though. She had no morals, no ethics... I mean, if you have no problem wiping out every Cardassian that lived... you can't beat that evil!

its taken nearly two years, but i've finally got round to seeing DS9's entire run on DVD

I'm more of a Jadzia guy, but if the series had gone on longer, i may have had to change my mind

One episode? DS9 was greatness, its hard to pick one. I think i'm gonna go with the entire Season 5-7 run. As for favourite characters: O'Brien, Bashir, Quark, Odo, Garak and Martok

Dukat without a doubt, followed closely by Weyoun and, for comedic value, Brunt (Jeff Combs is such a fine actor)

I had forgotten all about Martok and Brunt! LMAO, I think they should have made a Ferengi DVD Collection, because they're so funny!

2. Worf (i wouldnt have said it for tng though), Sisko, Ezri, Quark, O'Brien. Ep- Take Me Out To The Holosuite (Rom: I got it, i got it, i got it- [flies over his head and other players look angry] uhh, sorry)lol!! and What you leave behind.
3. Dukat (never forgave him for killing Jadzia, even thought he was possessed)

Interesting, I don't remember her doing so!

I'll have to watch the last few seasons again....it's all a blur.

Really, "Art"? The last episode, in the Fire Caves, her last words were, "Emissary, the book!" to let him know that was how to defeat Dukat. Then a swirl of fire killed her. sad.gif

My roommate in college, who wasn't even a fan of Star Trek, had a poster of Keiko O'Brien up in our room because he LOVED her. He thought she was gorgeous.

But... he was from England and all you non-Americans are weird like that!
