The first grandchild born in my immediate family, to my brother Joel & his new wife.

My parents are pretty damn stoked.

Not the best scan, but here is a picture of me with the baby...Siana Maree.
It was taken at some ungodly hour of the morning!

Siana apparently being Hebrew for 'beloved child' or something like that.

Neither of my sisters seem interested in having children.....& they won't be getting any from me unfortunately. So this is a very special occasion.

Babies are cool biggrin.gif

Hold them
Spoil them
Feed them candy
Let them stay up late
Take them to the park
Get them Ice Cream
Then, after all that, send them home

Their parents will not be as happy as they could be
You will however, will be their favorite Uncle!! biggrin.gif

Yes, the only thing greater than holding the little blighter in your arms, is passing them back to the arms of their parents when the tears form! biggrin.gif

I am resurrecting this old thread to shamelessly plug my most recent acheivement!

On Saturday, May 23, 2009, I will graduate from the University of Texas Health Science Center with my Master in Occupational Therapy degree and a bachelor in Health Sciences with Honors.

This has been a long adventure for me and it is exciting for it to finally be over.

I have received my temporary license and will begin work in a Skilled Nursing Facility at Scott & White here in Texas on the 26th, and I have my board exam scheduled for June 6th. After passing the exam, I will be able to add the initials OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered) behind my name when when I sign my notes.

Whoop!

Congratulations! I am in a very similiar situation myself. I was not able to get my High School diploma when I was supposed too in 2002, and I went to an adult education and I am finally graduating in June. My teacher even asked me to speak at graduation and that was something I wouldn't have been able to do if I were to graduate on time.
