Hello.

I have been collecting Playmates Starship products since 1993. And some...not all of DST/AA ships.

I find them the closest thing to models I can get. I lack the dexterity to build a model..hence toys....or quasi toys for DST/AA

I would really love to create a gallery of my photos of my old and..new ships.

I am a learning Photographer with the cheapest equipment.

I am having problems loading images onto the Gallery, I realize I have a 12 MegaPixel Camera..but these loaded on Facebook.

I am a little stumped at this issue. I tried Photobucket with the same results.

Are newbies restricted with upload access. I can understand that.

I appreciate any help and would love to show you my ships soon.. funny some pictures are not good others are sort of good.

Thank You

ShipNerd

You can post photos. I'm not sure why you are having so many problems.it should look like this.

CODE
[img]http://www.WHEREMYIMAGEIS[/img]

here is an example

CODE
[img]http://www.trektoy.com/forum/style_images/11_trektoybanner.jpg[/img]

without the code tags (you cant see them in the example above, they just work and are not meant to be seen) that allow you so see the code rather then allow it to work, with that last example, you would see this

Also, www.Imgur.com is a good, powerful, free, and simple image hosting service. Better, in my opinion, than Photobucket, Flickr, or just about any other hoster.

Oh...look it worked!
Maybe it is because it is a Beta Version of Photobucket.

Thanks. I am not to swift at Computers.

My next goal is to defeat the gallery roadblock (error message). 3MB photos are big I must admit, but Uploading straight from the HD of my PC is the way I believe it is supposed to be done.

I would really like to have a gallery.

That is very unique to this Forum. I hate to miss out!

It has a very simple to use program in it that you can use to reduce the size of photos.

Or just upload to Imgur. It will auto resize the pictures.
It's dead simple, you don't even have to sign up.

Just go here, and drag your image onto the page. (I mean literally click and drag the image files from your file browser onto the web page and drop them there.)
It'll give you a few options, but you can just hit "start upload", and it'll be done in seconds. It'll even provide pre-typed "BBcode" (what this forum uses to post pictures) text that you can copy directly into your messages here.

If you upload multiple images at a time, you can arrange them into an album if you want, then optionally set the layout, title, and click start upload. Or you can still do that afterwards.

As an example, I chucked a few photos from my collection of people's Enterprise-E photos into an album here.

I got it worked out. I was able to resize my images, although I must admit I did not anticpate having to.

Irregardless I've posted some photos...just need to show a few things I have done over the past year with the camera and since 1993 owning Playmates ships.

I have shot a few of the new DST ships. But that was for a friend request, fun, but these ships have more detail and texture to try to capture.

A challenge!

Thanks for all your help!

Q`apla!
