No sightings in Pennsylvania. I'm looking forward to adding Zero to my Sandcrawler droids.

[Waves at OAD!]

I've yet to see these in the wild though I read a report that a local specialty toy shop has gotten some stock. I'll have to check.

I'm sure the soft sculpts are intentional in order to blend in better with the original line, not unlike Hasbro's Retro Star Wars line. If that's your jam, cool, but I've gotten spoiled by small figures with impressively detailed paints apps and sculpts.

And yeah, this place has become exclusive to those of us grandfathered in (and old enough to be grandfathers). I'm all for fresh blood.

Here's how the Discovery figures turned out:

The packaging is lazy AF but the figures look fine to me,

As I'd expected/hoped, Saru is coming up short enough to fit in with my 1:18 scale figures. I'll be grabbing him the first chance I get.

I know the response here will be regarded as one of the most insincere promises since "I won't come in your mouth" but here it is:

Jeremy D.: A few years ago you guys announced the reliant and enterprise C to your electronic starship line did you guys scrap those plans?

DSTChuck: They are not scrapped, development hit some road blocks, but we still hope to be able to get them both into production.

We've lost yet another director:

This is just the universe saying, "Hey, the films had a good run. Keep Trek on the small screen, in long form and as far away from broadcast TV as possible."

Given the amount of time that has passed, I wouldn't mind seeing Decker, Ilia, Peter Preston, Demora Sulu, Saavik, and David introduced in the Kelvin timeline to become the next generation that helps bridge this version of TOS to the its version of TNG.
