I have had an issue with my Enterprise-D a bit of time. The sounds were fading as were the lights. I replaced the batteries on it. As soon as I installed the new batteries the lights all came on and stayed on. I tried hitting the lights on button on the back to switch them off and that didn't work. I got a paper clip to hit the reset and that didn't work either. What should I do?

It's from the first editions, that the neck window decals were made for.

This lady got severely ripped off by Forbidden Planet in the UK, but she's very happy with her ship!

Given how quickly it sold out, yes.

Good. I may buy a new one and give the old one to my five year old daughter. She loves playing with my ships.

So... I was just reading a Star Trek.com article about the upcoming crop of 2016 calendars... and they have this as the cover of the 2016 Ships Of The Line calendar:
Is it just me, or is it...

...a photo-shopped DST Enterprise-D?
Raised panel lines a la AMT/Ertl model kit, uneven seam where the saucer separates inbetween the port side impulse engine and dorsal phaser, big square main impulse engine, the light emanating from the outside edge of the saucer impulse engines suggesting that's where the bulb is located, bulldog deflector dish area...it really does look like it!

Yeah, the LED hotspot in the saucer impulse engine sells it, I have no doubt any more.
That's simultaneously really cool and really, really odd, isn't it?
Regardless, that's some beautiful photography and photoshopping.

Now DST, please make a Enterprise-D version with open shuttle bay doors, fully lit and shuttles inside. Maybe a SDCC exclusive?

Yeah that main impulse engine on the back of the neck is the dead giveaway that this is the DST model. There is no curve. The neck just ends at the impulse engine.
Another glaring clue is that you can even see the oval screw hole covers to the left and right of the bridge. Those shapes don't exist on any schematic or model except for the DST. It's a little crazy to me that the artist didn't photoshop away screw hole covers.
Also if you look at the saucer where it meets the neck you can see that the saucer line is sitting noticeably higher (look just to the right of the leftmost / port impulse engine). To me this area looks the most toy-like since the size of the offset and the huge gap shows you how small the model actually is.
