The DVD comes out next week and I heard its a lot better than the previous issues. This one has the captians introduce the various episodes and also has them pick their favorites. Is there any news on if there are any exclusives or prommotions with this?

Though I generally like these collections, I think I remember seeing the episodes selected and didn't seem to stir anything in me. I might pass on this, though if I see it and have money burning in my pocket I might pick it up. If there is some sort of promotion than definitely.

I think I saw the list in that UK Star Trek magazine that's out. In the Entertainment section at Borders and Barnes & Noble.

You know with previous dvd sets, Best Buy has been the place to pick these up. I remember when the Tapestry Picard offer was out, I picked up the set for $20.00 I might pick this one up, since all I have at the moment is the movies, Q Collection and TOS Season dvd's.

I find it hard to believe that "These Are The Voyages" was the "fan" pick for ENT, nor "The Omega Directive" for VOY. And I'm assuming the "Feature Length" of "What You Leave Behind" means the slightly extended version we saw on the DVD's. Other than that it looks like a good collection. I wonder what's going to be in the "episode introduction" and if it will be worth getting JUST for that feature?
I've got ALL of the seasonal DVD's and movies, so for me to buy an all new collection the new features have to be awesome. That's why I passed on the Q, Borg, and Klingon collections. As much as I wanted them, I couldn't justify spending the money.

They special features are kindda odd if you ask me. I have watched most of them, but some seem downright stupid. Patrick Stewart telling us that he never understood stardates, and why the Captain's Log was important to the show. I dunno...
And I also feel that some of the choices seem very very strange. I always thought that the top 2 fan favorite episodes of TNG were Best of Both Worlds, part I and Yesterday's Enterprise. However, both are in another box set, so...
