Found these awesome images from the guy who designed the Star Trek packaging for Playmates toys!

Sweet mother of God that's awesome!!

I have always adored the playmates artwork and have scanned all of my action figure backings for posterity.

This guy is very talented!  A mere glance at his work makes me remember seeing something new in a store and my childish heart skipping a beat.

Though it looks like he may have produced some artwork for some unreleased Playmates stuff.  I know about the electronic Kazon ship - but whats the deal with Voyager next to a Borg cube?

The nostalgia that whacked me in the face just now, was amazing. :)

I have been curious is the original artwork still existed. I even went as far to contact Playmates Toys customer service but it was a dead end. Thank you so much for posting this.

The last two pieces of art are actually from the Activision PC game Star Trek Away Team.

This is great! Another great find by 1701!

I wonder if any 'clean' artwork for the action figure packages exists.  I thought the art on the first few waves of TNG figures was incredible!

Brought it all back to me, the excitement of having these awesome toys readily available in Toys R Us, and the excitement of every new ship. The new retro reissues of TMNT also just brought all the nostalgia back too.
