I'm curious. About a month ago I bought a 4.5" Starfleet Command Data (First contact era uniform) from a seller I've dealt with before, brand new on eBay UK. When I opened him, I discovered he had NO number on his foot. What does this mean? Is he a prototype or a factory problem, or something else? If you have any ideas or have a figure like this yourself, it would be greatly appreciated if you shared them here.

I have seen that before and I think I have a figure like that, I just don't recall which one it is at the moment. I don't think it is anything special though. Anyone have any other thoughts? I'll look through mine and see which one it is.

Hey all,

If I remember correctly, at least 4 of the last Target exclusives had blank feet when released in the UK. Unfortunately they are packed away so can't confirm for definite which ones......

Take care,

It might also be something as simple as it just didn't get run through the numbering machine. I have a Dr Crusher in 40's attire figure that doesn't have a number on the foot. I just assumed that the slave labor assigned to number the figures missed one! Just a thought.... Fred K.

Thanks for your reply VorlonKosh, Matty-lad, and dathon18, its a great help.
First of in response to Matty-lad, my other Target exclusives I have are Worf, who I bought from the US (and has a number), silver Seven of Nine and Cobalt Blue Seven. Both the Seven's have no number, but I assumed that was common place as my Leeta figure had her number printed on a sticker on the left hand side of her box, and thought that Playmates basically couldn

Out of curiosity does the figure have the correct feet? Meaning both left and right feet? I think I remember some figures making it into packaging where the figures had two left feet (literally).

I have a few Target-figures, the whole crew plus a few more for customs. They all had correct feet. I have a Calhoun figure that had two left feet, though.

Just checked Data, he has got normal legs (i.e. no two left feet), but I have seen pictures of a Riker with two right arms and another figure (not sure which one) with, like you say, two left feet. The quality control was terrible on that last line but luckily my figures so far have had no problems other than this. Your comment reminds me of Data's dancing in Data's Day. laugh.gif

Mystery solved, it seems.

Matty-lad was right, I got a US Riker and Picard with Numbers but a Troi lacking any numbering, from the UK. Thanks for everybody's ideas and help in this matter, I greatly appreciate it.
