They called me about a month ago and are coming out from LA to do two day shoot covering me and my collection. We start filming tomorrow at 9am.

Looking forward to this FHC, although I've never heard of the show. Am I right to assume someone will be uploading this to youtube for us Brits? smile.gif

First day was 10 hours! We start again here in a few. But we are going later so it could be 10 + again. It's as much about me as the collecting.

It should air sometime in June on the Reelz Channel.

3 days and 10 hours (or more, one day was closer to 12) a day to shoot the thing. 4 people on the shooting crew

it was a lot of work. They told me (guided me more like) what to say on almost everything that I said.
or did.
Shoot in the house, in the front room, in the basement, in the yard, at work, the drive home from work
say this. GREAT!!! can you say it faster?
now slower
with breaks
without the breaks
can you "Kirk it up"
they would say "OK work on the prop" sweet, now take it back apart and I'll move the camera over here and you put it back together again.
Photos with the dogs, without the dogs
Can you do a few promos in costume
In your Kirk Chair
out of your Kirk Chair
We have to re-shoot an hour of the interview (it was 3 hours long)
I had to wear the same clothes for 2 of the three days
Can you get some friends over for us to interview?
Ok now will they leave?
I would hear "PERFECT MARK! Now do it again" over and over

LOL!!

They shot photos of the collection for over 5 hours and decided that they would never get it all and said it was enough. One of them told me doing the math (so many figures per pegboard) there was over 450 action figures on one section of one wall. I hadn't realized that. Then they shot the props, and the costumes, etc... This was going on during the time that some of the interviews were going on.

All in all it was very fun.

The photos I've seen so far of Mark's collection would be my ideal shop. Nothing but wall to wall Star Trek merchandise. cool.gif
