I like the shrunken head idea. Makes me think you should do some of these with a Walking Dead theme. cool.gif

Is the surprise (other than Shran) a Zindi, Silik, Daniels, a MACO, or Riker in 22nd century MACO gear?

As for the ensign, here goes:

Ensign Travis Mayweather is a shrunken AA/DST-head on a modified SeaQuest-Ford body.

And finally a picture of the whole Enterprise main cast in 4.5":

As for the surprise:
All of you are right. Yes, I'm working on a Shran figure (and he will be pretty cool, but you'll find out soon enough). Yes, I'm planning to make several Xindi and Crewman Daniels and Silik and some MACOs. I won't bother to make Riker, because I don't really care for "These Are The Voyages...". I'm even working on a Porthos figure. But...

... you're all wrong. tongue.gif The surprise is not a figure:

Archersaccessories_zps288753fa.jpg

These are the accessories for my Captain Archer figure. Each of the figures plus a few of the upcoming figures like Shran, Daniels etc. will get a set of items and an action base. The AA/DST-accessories were a little large for the 4.5" figures, in my opinion, so I tried to scale them down (and make a few more).
Archer comes with his action base, his NX-01 basecap, a phase pistol, communicator, scanner, PADD and a desktop computer.

Here's a comparison shot of the AA/DST accessories and mine:

Up next: Shran, the Andorian

Thanks, guys. The basecap has been sculpted with apoxie. The rest is made of styrofoam and a lot of patience. smile.gif The displays on the PADD and the computer monitor have been printed on photo paper and glued to the styrofoam. The action base is also made of styrofoam with the mission patch printed on photo paper and then glued on. Then I drilled a hole in it and stuck a small peg in, which I painted blue to match the Enterprise on the patch.

ohmy.gif I think I might hear angels singing! A complete main crew, in the same scale, in the same uniform styles. *sniff* And they'd look great next to the other Playmates crews.

Oh Daysleeper, it's like a dream come true.

So when will you start taking commissions to make a set for us? biggrin.gif

@Matty-lad: You are very talented yourself! I've seen a few of your customs, and they look amazing. I might even borrow an idea or two, for example using Kang for Martok. wink.gif

Great work. I wish I could do the same for my Enterprise crew. I had to use what heads I could find. No where near your quality.

This set of figures is beyond good. Even beyond great! Playmates should buy these from you and put the into production. I have never been a playmates fan but these, I would get in a heartbeat if I had the pennies. Absolutely one of the most inspiring things I have seen in a long time! Well done Daysleeper!

This is awesome work Daysleeper. I loved Enterprise and was really sad when it got canceled. I never got into the AA/DS toys because I already had a huge collection of Playmates 4.5' action figures and was attached to their scale. Over the years I have managed to get my hands on a few of the Enterprise crew and will have to try this. They look amazing!  :)  Then they will be able to stand by my Playmates 4.5 inch crew without looking like giants. Squee!
