Anyone hear anything about the 24th century MiniMates that are supposedly coming our way?

Maybe if we all go in on it, we can afford to buy a mole at DST. Whatd'ya say, folks?

I really liked the old AA artwork for the Next Gen crew. I'm quite excited about the TNG mini's!

I thought that they were labeled as visitors from the 24th century, which doesn't mean they wll be TNG (but robably will be).
But that was my question - Any news about 'em? Who it will be? When they will be out? , etc?

I'm so far behind on my Minimate collection and missed out on both Series 1 & 2. I definitely liked seeing the Rand and Chapel figures, has anyone received the Spock Elf from DST? I'm debating on if I'm going to track that one down or not, since I have the Cylon Elf's from last year, it might look cool with my wife's Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Santa's workshop set biggrin.gif

Found the Spock/Uhura pack today. I'm sure there were more there but I was in a hurry!

I love them! Both have really nice faces. The accessories are really cool as well.

I just received wave 3 on Friday. They are awesome. I was worried Kor would come with a starfleet phaser due to the promo pictures but he has a Klingon disruptor. Since you can remove the hair from them and the sash comes off, I can see much Klingon army building potential. biggrin.gif

Doesn't the Klingon come with Dress Kirk? that means you can army build Green Dress Officers too...
Sam, et al. did you notice your Uhura and Spock come with a command insignia? I think the whole wave did, and Spock should have a Pike phaser too.

The Klingon comes with Gladiator Kirk from "Bread and Circuses" episode. Dress Uniform Kirk comes with Khan. Yes I did notice Uhura's insignia is wrong and Spock should have had Pike's phaser. That's why I was worried about the Klingon weapon not being correct. Thankfully it's a disruptor so no worries. I try to ignore it since that kind of thing makes me nuts.

Oh, well that is perfect then... you can use the B&C Kirks to make Spock, McCoy and some of the Spartans too... Now to just find them... Thanks.

Rick has posted that wave 3 should arrive for him sometime soon. I don't see a pre-order up yet, does anyone else?

I feel dumb for asking, but who is in wave 3? is that the one with Chapel?

***

Just took a look on DST's site....it is the Sarek wave.

Is the Mirror Mirror wave released at the same time?

I finally broke down and picked up the TOS minimates. I have a large minimates collection (easily over 100 at last count) but TOS 'mates just didn't appeal to me. I have the big 3 in their original 3" scale, but wasn't interested in picking up the classic crew, partially because of the blandness and repetition of their uniforms.

The forthcoming movie and later era figures sort of changed my mind on the whole thing, and the guy at the comic store yesterday offered me a discount if I bought several packs.

Buying 5 2-packs allowed me to get what I consider to be the main crew. And I ended up with Pike/Vina/early Spock, too. (Cage Spock is coming to work with me tomorrow.)

I'm glad I changed my mind. They're very cute. Not as nice as the original 3" figures, but a nice addition to my collection. Now, bring on the TNG/DS9/VOY 'mates!
