I remember my first Star Trek figure. I wasn't around for the TNG figures at first, becuae I was born about two years shy. Instead, my first figure was a warp factor series figure. I still have the original, and a copy MIB. I remember I got the Riker figure which shot a missile and I played around with it at the mall. I actually Don't remember much else, other than flying the little commbadge stand around in a shoe store while my mother and sister shopped.

These still hold a unique place in my heart because they really got me into figure collecting rather than figure playing. Of course, I still played with them at first, but I was old enough not to abuse them and appreciate them more.

My first, if I haven;t already shared was the PM Riker with that ripped shirt. I was so addicted, I immediately asked mom if I could walk back to Wal-mart (which was about a 5 minute walk from my house) to get the others. She said yes, and the rest is an expensive, yet enjoyable, history. biggrin.gif

Starship Exeter http://homepage.mac....starshipexeter/ is a TOS era fan film.

Who made toys for the fan film? Isn't that illegal?

Its not illegal to make custom figures for your own collection, but it would be illegal if you produced and sold them to make a profit. Customizers add to their collections all the time by hobbling together a character from stuff that's mass produced. CargoBay13 has some awesome PM customs in our Custom Figures section.

My first was Deanna Troi in her Lavender Jump Suit. It was all they had left at my Toysrus. The next week I went back and Picked up Picard, Data and the Borg.

I've gathered that, but they looked so real. It seemed...factory made.

My first was the TOS Boxed set. I saw the TNG, but wasn't really into it by that time. Then I saw the box, but the problem was I wasn't really able to shell out (was it)$35 for all these figures at once. I hummed and hawed for weeks, until eventually it went on sale. I bought the last one, at my local TRU for something like $20, and felt good with the purchase. I think I was expecting them to later release them individually, and it would be better spent that way. I think I bought a Troi, as she seemed to be missing more often then not, in the displays. I think I opened her though... Oops but that got me buying more then just the TOS in the long run.

As bad as they all are compared to the fabulous DST/AA figures of today, I loved every minute of these figures. There is nothing like the excitement of walking into a toy store and seeing your favourite character, the one you've been searching for, hanging on the hook. Or winning that ebay auction for that rare figure by a whisker. Loved them!! smile.gif And don't call me a sack of crap!! wink.gif

None of us are sacks of crap! We're sacks of painted plastic with little plastic accessories!

I am about to start taking pictures of all 275 of my out of box figures and then move onto my mib figures which will include all of the 9" and 12".

I'll be insane afterwards, but itll be nice to have pics of them all!

I might try doing that, fortunatley, I won't be insane.

I think I purchased that set on ebay for ten dollars last year.

Just out of curiousity, have you ever seen a set of figures or one figure from the Hidden Frontier fan films?
