^^^Well it looks like everyone's a winner here ~ as long as people get their skates on and get one while they're still available!

I am not a big fan of the mego repros but I just saw something at DST's site that will make you guys happy. It looks like they will be releasing a repro of the original bridge playset.

I read about the repro bridge over at DST's website. Looks like it will go for 60 bucks, probably cheaper through some places like newforce, if Rick carries it. I have a original MIB Bridge set that i got off of ebay for not too much more than that. I am not sure if i will get a new one though, but i may do it eventually. EMCE toys will hopefully branch out into the WGSH figures, and i would love to get a Batmobile and a Batman with removable cowl and also i want to get those Planet of the Apes figures. I would love it if EMCE/DST would give us some Mego style 8" TWOK figures.

VF I was talking to the owner on the phone and he said that was his next goal. Super Heros. You might be in luck soon.

looks as though DST is gonna really pull out the stops for their Star Trek line next year - more emphasis on TOS i feel with TNG wrapping up this year with the release of the Enterprise - D and Wave 5, DS9 perhaps finishing without a complete crew (in their usual uniforms) due to poor sales and Voyager limited to perhaps only 2 characters - Mego Bridge, Life-Sized Captains Chair and i would bet my bottom dollar; more TOS era figures.

hello all...
I have not talked to Paul in a while, but I do talk to Hasbro and Mattel, and unfortunately, the idea of getting repro WGSH (super heroes) done is close to impossible right now...not to say that it won't change, but unlikely (due to the $'s involved)...

It is disappointing though that we can't somehow get at least get a TNG Pulaski or Yar, and equally (to me) that we may not get a Quark or Jake.

On the positive side, I think the chances for a Chappel and/or Rand have never been better!

I would also welcome more ST:TM characters. A full bridge crew would be nifty!

Looks like this was already covered, but I just received a e-mail from YouBuyNow.com and they have the bridge set up for presell. I realize we'll all most likely buy from Rick or someone locally, just thought I'd give a heads up.

That's much of what he said, but it's good to have a goal I guess.

to respond to some questions I have received, OF COURSE we will carry the bridge set... just have to wait to get costs and then we can offer for presell... bet your bottom $ we will be the cheapest source out there, so stay tuned!

Alright I have finally caved and am now getting the Retro figures. I went to the Gem City Comic Con on Sunday and they had several. I told my best friend, who has been getting them, that I wasn't going to start these because I missed the first set and wanted to buy them separately but could never find a Kirk (and I had to start w/ him first or not at all) that wasn't too expensive. Well after a payday and some extra money from a Fri-Sat garage sell, I found a Kirk for $20 and caved. I love it! Many childhood memories are flooding back as I stare at him on my desk. biggrin.gif
