Well, it's good news that we're finally getting DS9 figures!

I really thought the disappointing sales of the TNG lines would put the kibosh on any DS9 waves.

I'm really hoping that we'll get decent new sculpts for all the figures, and not just a bunch of head swaps.

Personally, I'd like to see the crew in the earlier uniforms first. And an O'Brien figure is a total no-no without his sleeves being rolled up!

That custom was made using the T&T Dax body, which had articulation above the knee. So the answer is no. Your eyes are not deceiving you.

Matt's site says he used T&T Bashir's legs for the Dax figure.

I like those customs but can't wait to see what the real thing looks like. The new bodies are so much better than those older ones.

I like most of Matt's work, but Jadzia looks like a midget to my eye.

She does look a little short. Hopefully DST will get the height right.

I really like the new ones! They look great! The sculpts are great! Will there be four in this wave then or is odo in the next one?

Not sure. I think Odo is a Previews exclusive, but that's just a guess. The core assortment looks like Sisko and Jadzia, with Ezri as the chase figure. All in the FC style uniforms.

It looks like Sisko and Jadzia are completely new body sculpts, but Ezri looks like she is a reuse of the Troi body. Which would make sense since she is just a chase figure. Although I can't really tell for sure from that pic. As long as most of them are new sculpts, though, I'll be happy and they look even better than the TNG figures (crosses fingers and knocks on wood for the production versions).

Those look great. I was hoping for the other uniforms but love these too. Ezri and Odo are realy cool and I can't wait to get Sisko.

I think jadzia might be nem crushers body. As for sisko, i'm not sure. Maybe worf? Also, i just realised this is our first ever Ezri Dax figure! All the way back to the playmates range ive wanted one. And she comes with a cool looking rifle!

Only thing I'd say is - why has Odo got a phaser rifle? wouldn't it be better for him to have a Bajoran PADD or his bucket?
Ezri looks great as well with the TR-116 rifle from "Field of Fire"

Actually too, now that I looked at the group shot, the Sisko and Jadzia figs both come with phaser rifles, now I've definitelty gotta get 2 of each!

And I really hope these figures go up for pre-order soon, I GOTTA get that TR-116 rifle with Ezri!

And these may be body re-uses though, Jadzia may be the Crusher Nemesis body, Ezri the Nemesis Troi, and the Sisko may possibly use the FC Data body. WOW, do they look good, especially Odo! 4 characters in a wave! Thank you DST/AA!
So, does anyone else think variants are a thing of the past now? If so, I'm not sure what to think. It's good for more characters, but the episode specific ones are always cool too. I'll buy them all either way though, they are just sooo good.

Summer is going to be a very expensive time for me with DS9, BSG, and TWOK all suppossed to be released. Oh well, you only live once.
