#93715 Toys R Us stores closing down

Posted by bgiles73 on 05 April 2018 - 01:52 PM

No doubt all the unsold Star Wars crap contributed to Toys R Us demise. Ive gone to Toys R Us several times since the announcement of closure went public and that mountain of unwanted stuff still sits there undiminished. I think too many lines, and too many scales has killed what was once an enjoyable pastime. Im hopeful that in the case of Star Wars, the Kickstarter route may reinvigorate the 3 3/4 scale the way it has with Bossfight and Marauder Task Force. The figures they deal with arent licensed properties but maybe Hasbro will shoot for the same levels of realism with theirs. The HasbroLab concept has me really wishin that Hasbro would try exerting that Star Trek license once again but with 3 3/4 Figures an a $500 Enterprise playset/ship.

Is there a moderator that can move the three categories Eaglemoss Starhips, McFarlane Star Trek figures and Megabloks/Megaconstrux under their own category instead of under the Everything Else category? I think these three have earned a spot just like DST, Playmates and Mego before them.

#91824 Do you want Discovery Action Figures?

Posted by bgiles73 on 22 October 2017 - 11:24 AM

Ill get them all, but Im really wanting aliens like the new Klingons and just everything thats come before. Im hoping well finally get that Salt Vampire and Id really love to see the Tholian that we glimpsed in Star Trek: Enterprise. I only hope that someone other than just Eaglemoss will produce ships. I am really missing Micro Machines.

Moclans only urinate once a year probably followed by a thunderous fart.

I don't like that they left an open plug-hole on Picard's head, but I guess that means we might be getting a Locutus at some point. I do like that we get options of different ways to configure the Borg drone for army-building! Hopefully we get some TNG era Klingons and Romulus's soon.

I bought the Destiny Warlock figure which is exclusive to GameStop yesterday. It incorporates all the articulation of the 5" Walking Dead and the upcoming Star Trek figures. It also has a trench overcoat made of a soft vinyl. I was fearful of this being articulation restrictive but was pleasantly surprised. I can't wait for them to bring on the Discovery style Klingons now! I think this line has much potential.

Macfarlane would definately win over fans from way back if he'd get Rand and Chapel out there right out the gate! I'd love to see this companies' take on the M113 Salt Vampire as well.

Am I the only one wanting a Doomsday Machine, V'ger and Whale Probe?

1701D they are being kind of cryptic with replies on the Megabloks forums, but at the same time possibly hinting more may be coming at a later date.

#87439 Dime Novel Legends 3 3/4 Old West Action Figures

Posted by bgiles73 on 12 October 2016 - 10:39 AM

Is anyone else here as big a fan of the Old West and hoping for a line to bring a series of great 3 3/4" fully articulated figures home? These are going to be great! I hope they can get fully funded!

I got the Spock from "The Cage" variant today! I love it! Definately has me hoping to see more from the episode. Captain Pike would be awesome.

They could give Chekov that "groovy" wig he wore in his first few episode appearances!

Got mine ordered and glad to help! I'm hoping this line will be really successful for Mezco so we might see more cool stuff.
