That's what happenes when you make 1000 more Kirks then you made chairs.

Hey we have a 1000 extra Kirks what are we going to do with them? Con exclusive!!

I hope it's 1000! It seems like even at SDCC they didn't sell through 500 sets of MM exclusives... so if there are 1000 made for the con, then I think we would have a good chance at getting them for a reasonable price.

I think that LoT means this difference in colour

Ok. I just have to ask, how is that possibly the WNMHGB Kirk? (the Upcomming con exclusive) The Color is wrong, He has the wrong rank braids on the uniform. All the Gear that comes with it is wrong. It's starting to look exactly like the Original SDCC Kirk Exclusive... and at least that one had the Phaser Rifle!

The only I can see that is right is the collar on the uniform!

I'm not sure where they are going with this ... he looks kinda like a hydrid. Its still cool that we will be able ... maybe ... to get ours hands on this one. Now we must work on Troi.

You know, I didnt see that the braids were the standard Kirk. I would fathom to say, that it was just a mock up that they did, in which case the colour would not necessarily be the same anyway.
However; while typing this, I recall that the limbs are apparently adjusted for the Seated in Chair figures, in order for them to look more natural. If this is the case, then they might have to use the original Kirk's arms (but the should use Chekov's!!!)

How are they adjusted? They seem to be the same to me, and the regular Kirk looks find in the seat.

I agree with Tiberius. It could be an early prototype of the command chair Kirk that they've been using for the pics. It could be pics we never got to see of the orignal proto and it could be they are using the original proto for the packaing mock-up as well. I don't think we will be able to tell if he is actually different from the command chair version until someone has both of them side by side to do an actual comparison.

Yeah, I was just looking back at the carded version pics ... one here at Action-Figure.com and another in the other thread on this issue ... and the braids look right.

So maybe the DST picture is just some weird early prototype, but why wouldn't they use a more final version?

Yep looks right on that version. I was commenting on shot Tiberius put up. But what was the adjustment he mentioned for the arms on the cahired versions? The normal figures look fine in the chair to me.

well, being as I havent seen the chair Kirk in question, I dont know for srue that it is different. I asked numerous times for a side by side picture, but no one has come through.
I am quite sure that I had read about an adjustment, I just dont know from where. Sorry, if I find it, I wlll post it

Bahahahaha... unbelievable...

Like VulcanFanatic, I will rather stop collecting these figures than paying that much to have a complete collection.

Ridiculous!!

Well I did do a buy it now for one for 39.95 right before I seen this one. To be honest I thought was on the crazy side but I figured that it was not much worse then the Tap Picard. Then this one goes up and someone paid $99.95!!! buy it now. The trouble is if others saw that auction then they are going to move from high to crazy like this aution because they saw someone else get it.

I think that they may have been talking about the color on the packaging and not the figure.
