That doesn't sound too promising. But I really really want the NX shuttlepod!

I'd love that, a TNG Shuttlepod, Soapbar, Type 11, and most of all, a Travel Pod from TMP/TWoK. Fingers crossed. :)

I wish the shuttles were available on their store as I would pick up a set and help the cause. For me the perfect follow up set would be the NX type Shuttlepod, the Type 18, Type 11 and the shuttle from ITD (controversial one).

Which shuttle is the 'soapbar' Jay K?

EDIT : I actually missed one and I don't know how, either the Galileo or Copernicus from Star Trek V

Chris, I thought it was the Type 7 (one I'd also love to have), but I was apparently wrong. The Soap-bar was the concept shuttle for what later became the Type 7, but it was a bit too hard to make at the time apparently:

ITD? Which one is that? Or do you mean ST ID? I would love both shuttle types from new movies. And quite a few others, lol.

Guess I'll add more questions for Ben to my list to ask at NYCC,lol.

Yeh sorry, the shuttles from the last film I thought looked great and harked back to the originals just being much much larger... For me if there were ever another rein-vision of Star Trek which was closer to the TOS aesthetic than the current films the shuttles would be a mix of that one and the Matt Jefferies original.

That shuttle you posted Jay K I have always liked, really organic looking and would have matched the E-D well.

Someone asked Ben on twitter:

As you seem to be in a tweeting mood, are there any plans to do the Wolf 359 kitbashes? Or the Yeager type from DS9?

...to which Ben replied:

If we get past 90...

I'll be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. Unless my memory is really letting me down, I can't think of too many unique Federation ships that are left between now and issue 90, so I'm now taking this as confirmation of some class duplicates coming before 90 (i.e. the Saratoga). I'm fine with this, but I'd really like to get those Wolf 359 ships...

Can't wait to get the Appalachia tomorrow! :D

EDIT: For Robster (amongst others):

Doug has been nagged and says he can start work on the Ent-J this month. Last of the canon Enterprises...

;)

Just in case you didn't see my edit (for Robster mainly lol), courtesy of Ben on twitter:

Doug (Drexler) has been nagged and says he can start work on the Ent-J this month. Last of the canon Enterprises...

;)

Right then, the Appalachia.

Ventral-side of the saucer section - I just want to show you how good/subtle the aztec paint is on this beast! This is the same image, but the one on the right has been tweaked to make it really show:

And here's the rest, one with the Defiant to show the 'size' of it, and one with the Prometheus which shares the same scale (Prom - 1:2960, App is 1:2975 - that's as close as they come generally). The model is 119.65mm long, and the given length on the magazine is 356m.

Ever so slightly smaller than I expected it to be (I think the Sabre and Norway classes will seem bigger), but this is a winner all around. One of the best models in the collection so far. :D

Thanks for that JK! Was kinda sad news for me though,as I was sure Ent J was at LEAST halfway there already! Oh well, guess I'll buy a BB-8 and play with him till it's done. Hopefully before 2020.

I finally received issues 54 and 55 in the UK. They came with a note that the price in the UK is going up to £10.99 starting with the next issue, issue 56.

Thanks for posting that hobs.

EDIT: By the way, share your pictures here man (I just saw them on facebook). The D'Kyr class looks great! I won't post it without your permission (your picture etc), but I've cropped the picture of the letter you posted because it's good for proof, not that I doubted you. :)

And I'm still waiting for the latest issues in Germany (Prometheus and Tholian ship) and I didn't even receive the JJ Enterprise and the Borg Cube yet (They told me the cube is out of stock at the moment, when others received two or even three cubes lol). Does anyone have an idea when to expect the shuttles? I've been paying 1,50€ extra per issue from the start just for the shuttles, but nothing showed up yet, not even a notification when to expect them.. I am getting more and more frustrated with EM with every month that passes. Not arguing about the ships, though. They're fantastic!

@DefiantOne: I've received the Tholian ship and Prometheus last Thursday, and - lo and behold - the Borg cube was in there, too!
