Yeah, but it makes her less of an 'action figure' & more in line with Mattel's Barbies.

I have nothing against the standard Barbie articulation....on Barbies. But not a fan of the idea at all in a 12" action figure line.

Not exactly like Uhura was striking up a Bruce Lee action pose...lol! At the price point of these figures they've kinda left the "action figure" realm and progressed into the collectible doll arena. Let's face it...these are dolls...and not cheap ones at that. Whatever steps are taken to lend a little more realism I'm fine with that...as I'm also a fan of articulation as long as it doesn't look silly. The photo also looks to have been treated a little via Photoshop...especially around the knee joints. Either way...with a likeness as good as this one the Uhura fogire will likely do very well...articulated elbows or not smile.gif .

These figures look great, especially Nero and Uhura. Hoping that Uhura's arms are articulated at the elbows as well...but I'll admit that there's something nice about the smooth appearance of the arms...kinda adds to the realism.

Curious if anyone knows, is the AMT / ERTL Enterprise-E model from First Contact and Insurrection the same mold? I ask because the 'neck' area, from deflector dish to yacht/torpedo house - was redesigned in INS to be flat. In FC, it was rounded. I *LOVE* that rounded. I have an old beat up FC model from when I was a kid, and that little detail makes her so much more beautiful than the AA/DST electronic ship with the flat-neck. So... anyone know?

Interesting question. Considering AMT's track record I don't know if they'd supply differences between the FC and INS E...also, I don't believe that the E has been retooled at all for the reissues. However, I just picked up the re-issues of the E and the 1/350 Refit and they both have much improved decal sheets (especially the astecing for the 1/350). Hey...when you can pick up an E for less than $30 you can count me in anytime.

Hello Alex. The one of thing I can confirm is that the kits are truly selling well...my local Hobbytown has told me that these ships are doing well for them and while they may be a little difficult to get them into stock again you can be assured that Round 2 will fill the orders, as many as possible. According to Round 2's website the reissue kits come with "newer enhanced decal sheets". Whether these will be as good as the Alliance product is something unknown to me...as I've never truthfully beheld Alliance product but am going by friends' observations. Botom line is I'm just happy that these reissues are available and I don't have to pay top dollar to get them from Ebay or someplace else.

Awesome that Pike also had the landing party jacket!

Now I wished I had bought these back then!
