Maybe Destructor can make a phaser strip thats 3D printable for the bottom that slots into the screw holes? Pretty sure thats where its supposed to go. Id certainly send some money their way for the files to do it.

Thank you for the complement, and yeah, I'm oddly kind of tempted to get one just for that purpose. It's like 90% of the way to a good model. I need to get the Defiant out of drydock, not to mention the Cerritos.
So I take it there's no separate power supply in the saucer? I'm surprised there's even lighting in it to be honest. As for the lighting in general, there's some pretty '90s thinking on display here - why did they only use white LEDs?! Put blue ones in the nacelles for crying out loud!
Hilarious how you express your feelings about this toy through the medium of saucer separation! THWACK!

And the phaser array is found by the Veridian IV natives in a couple of centuries, leading to a hybridisation of them and the phaser array, leading to the techno-tentacle monsters from the future or whatever at the end of season 1 of Picard!
Well done Bgiles! You've rescued season 1 from the crap pile!

I got my Enterprise D at my doorstep today and TOS Communicator. I actually loved both of them. I have the DST ships of both of TOS and the D too. I really love the toy aspect of the Playmates ones more though. I just wish they would have kept the warp whoosh from the old 90s ships. They just feel incomplete without that sound effect. Im really hoping for more ships, figures, role play and some playsets! I hope they will do something from the current shows.

Wow, love the Nebula-style deflector dish and all the other weird changes. Somebody needs to do a Nebula-class conversion kit for these now that the saucer detaches.
On the other hand, this is not bad for the price that they're charging. I would have expected like $60, now that inflation is maxed TF out on everything.
The main selling point here is easily the fact that the saucer separates at all.
This has reaffirmed my plans to buy the DST one, lulz.

The D disassembled for light blocking.
Nice one Alteran! A couple more things baffle me now:
- there's no pressing need for the deflector to be so deformed. I thought maybe the internals of the stardrive forced it to be misshapen.
- Why did they put so few window holes in the saucer? There's acres of empty space in there, they could have punched out a number of other windows to really boost the effect of the windows.
How difficult was it to disassemble Alteran? The '90s one was glued and snapped up the wing-wang, it was a blood-curdling experience to take it apart.
A couple of YT reviews are up:

Ok so judging by the videos I am impressed that it has no stickers and the decals are printed on. Some of the paint apps are genuinely nice like the top of the saucer. That being said the saucer sep just seems intrusive on this version and the missing details on the bottom of the saucer are cringy. So this is a definite skip. If what was said is true and Pm is going to focus more on ships for the future I hope we see some more effort put into any future releases.

The weirdness of the saucer separation details seems like an unforced error. It's strange to think that this was literally the best solution they went with.
On one hand this model is aimed ostensibly at adult collectors, but at the same time they're cutting corners in places where we're most likely to notice them.
Still, I hope this model does well, so that they don't go "Well, since it didn't sell well, we will be doing a much smaller product lineup going forward."

The communicator, well hell....I may get another if it's under $10....but man it's a lil awkward. There were 2 things I did like about it. First it isn't chonky, I compared it to my Bluetooth communicator and it's just as thin (if you don't count the f@ck!ng belt clip)🙄 Secondly, voice clips from the actors that haven't been used? I could be wrong and it's late but something struck me as hasn't been used. Granted the weird emergency button sound and TNG hail sound could be throwing me off but, it's eh.
I hope we see more, I really do.
Side note, if you haven't picked up the second run of 1st series figures with the better face paint application, do it!! Got Data cheap for a custom and man is his face better.....kind reminded me of the galoob data paint debacle. Definitely getting Picard and Riker when I can.

Saw that video myself. Sad for the figure collectors but since I never got them it really dosent affect me. I do wonder how they'll approach the ships from this point forward.
