Has anyone heard anything about the NX version? I have been holding off on buying the Excelsior because I would rather have the "original."
Excelsior starship in fall of 09?

Nothing official that I know of. If there is an NX version it will most likely be for sale from AFX.

Holy poop !!!
What show did this photo come from JayK? Thanks for sharing BTW !!!
This is one of my Holy Grail ships and it looks like they got everything right; The Triangular Bridge, The round shuttlebay, the single impulse crystal, and they even got the slightly different registry font right !!! Amazing !!!

James T. Kirk: My friends, the great experiment: The Excelsior. Ready for trial runs.
Hikaru Sulu: She's supposed to have transwarp drive.
Montgomery Scott: Aye, and if my grandmother had wheels, she'd be a wagon!
James T. Kirk: Come, come, Mr. Scott. Young minds, fresh ideas. Be tolerant!

Sorry dude, should've included a link. I'll be hunting for more pictures, I suggest we all do the same!
This is going to be one of those ships where, in my mind, I'll pass on it as it's just 'slight' differences, but if I had the room and the space, it'd be bought in a heartbeat.

Got my preordered excelsior 2 days ago...red lines are slighty off on top and bottom of saucer.
Mine are a tad off also.... as are most of them, I think... I can live with it though because the overall quality is just amazing.

The NX-2000 is ready to leave Spacedock!! Just read it on Facebook. No date but the card below the ship had what looks to be a four letter month on it. Looks great!!
Looks like "Fall 2014" to me

Obviously Wrath of Khan is the fan favorite...but I always thought Search For Spock was a great follow up and just as good of a movie as Wrath of Khan...
I have to admit that as much as I love the Refit....I was floored as a kid the first time I saw the NX-2000 Excelsior.... Not to mention just having been blown away by the massive Earth Spacedock for the first time !!

I wished growing up they would have had more Star Fleet ships. Reliant was always cool but when Excelsior hit my jaw hit the floor. Even though I understand why things were done, as a kid it got on my nerves that on STTNG they always had the same ships. They would get around spending more money by renaming them.
