My apologies if this has already been posted (in which case, can a mod please delete) but I thought you might wanna see a pic of the new 1701-D in it's packaging from the AA website...

I think it looks fantastic!! Once again, it's a little odd seeing it with the TOS style font but I still think it looks very fancy and I can't wait to get my hands on it!! smile.gif

I wonder if the "saucer" problem they referred to recently as one of their causes for delay was related to those two crossed bands/ties securing it down in the package. Maybe they realized that they would separate and become loose in shipment unless they tied it down!

Most impressive! Except for the fact they used/were forced to use the TOS style fonts on a TNG-era ship's box. blink.gif

Oh well, hope they can get this out to us this year!

We had better get used to the TOS font on the packaging. I kinda like the new universal design. You'll know it's Trek before ever seeing what's inside.

I agree Kor'Tar - I'm kinda digging the universal logo, makes it seems more inclusive than separate shows all under the Trek umbrella. The ship looks fantastic! Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Looks good. A definite buy for me. Now if they'd only get around to releasing the -B and the -C, we'd be in good shape.

If i'm not mistaken there are some in a thread I started when I spotted first word about them during the NYCC awhile back . It should be in the DST section somewhere .

I never cared for this ship, but I will be picking this up and supporting Trek! Besides, I have a nice little collection of the ships and this would go well.
