LOL these are the very same types of posts that I was reading 4 years ago over at the AA forum. We must have had it good, and we didn't even know it!! Funny how the memory plays tricks like that, the past is always warm and fuzzy! The good old days weren't always so good.

Not that I'm a frequent flier anymore or anything, but when I read your post I had a "Kung Fu" flashback to the old AA board days. At least IP numbers aren't being traced and anonymous users identified as this person or that person, adhoc tribunals and banishment's for life. Talk about off topic.

Speaking of off topic, please indulge me as I wander for a moment. It's nice to see that while the passion is still as hot as ever, the discourse is more reserved and humane. As many have pointed out, sometimes we just agree to disagree or move on. However, the same old aspect of quality or selection versus personal preference seems to rule the day. I agree that feedback is essential toward making things better or letting manufacturers know what we want. Does it always work? Nah. But as Yoda said:

Ack, indeed.  Rick is pre-sold out of the rarer colors according to a message I received from him.

I ordered from Entertainment Earth, and considering I can't order the rare colors from Rick, a set of all three come to $77.03 shipped to me.  It was the cheapest I found.

Same here and I loved the video option they have that allows you to preview the item.  You get to see and hear it in action.  Nice sounds so making the purchase was an easy decision.  Too bad it didn't have the little headless electric dog under it to give it the walking/crawling effect!

Kinda like the ESTES rocket versions of the TOS E and D7.  They had a few mods to make them launchable, but I was out there launching the Starship Enterprise and the Klingon D7 into sub-orbital (way sub...with a capital SUB...as in VLEA...VERY LOW Earch Oribit) engagements.  They actually almost crossed paths once.....kinda launched them pretty close to each other.

Trust me, this is hard for me to say, since AA was my first community I joined, but I think folks need to just let it go. Mark and his team have set up a safe haven for folks to continue to talk about Trek. He's even continued the Q & A with DST, which is more than the "official" website has done. I think this is the coordinates everyone needs to be setting to get their Star Trek fix, not the AA forum. That's a rutterless ship that lost it's bearings long ago sad.gif

It certainly was a tale of two cities....knowledgeable Trek enthusiasts mixed with idological fanatics who like nothing better than to disagree to the point of making it personal.  I saw it wear down the best of us (Tim).  It finally took it's toll on me as well, thus.....sayonara.  I was glad this site came to pass and really appreciate being to get info on all things TREK.
