I just saw this in an email from Entertainment Earth this morning, havent had time to do any research on whether this is a DST release or not from EMCE but it looks like it may be.

They were announced at SDCC and look awesome. The first one is actually going to be Green Arrow. He will be available 12/15/09 on Mattycollector.com exclusively. I don't like it being exclusive like that but what are you gonna do-that's the way it is these days.

Looks like Green Arrow is supposed to be for sale on 12/23. I hope these figures do actually make it to TRU in the spring, and i hope Batman and Robin and their foes get made too. I would love to have a retro Batcave. I had the Batcave, Batmobile, Batcycle, Batman,Robin,Joker, Riddler, and Penguin back in the 70's, wish i still had them.

Anyone have any interest in picking these up? I saw the Wave 1 set at TRU, picked up Superman. At $20 a pop, i just got the only one i really liked out of the four that included Sinestro,Lex Luthor and Green Lantern. I may get them all eventually, but i really want to replace the ones i had as a child, Batman,Robin,Joker,Penguin,Riddler,Tarzan,Aquaman, Shazam and wouldnt mind seeing Marvel figures like Spiderman,Hulk, Captain America and others.

I am definitely considering picking these up. Especially the Batman and Two-Face in wave 2. I still haven't seen them at Toys R Us in my area yet. I wore these figures out when I was a kid. If I wasn't playing w/ the real GI Joes (adventure team) then I was playing w/ my WSGH or Star Trek Megos. There are days I'd give up everything to go back to the decade of the Seventies and never leave. I was fortunate. I had a great childhood and fantastic parents. Those were some good times and not a care in the world.

You summed up my life in the 70's as well! If you ever find a time portal back to that time, let me know so i can go back too.

I went back to TRU to look at these figures again with the possibility of buying them, and they were pretty much bought out already. I must have intially found them shortly after they were placed on the shelf, otherwise i am sure i wouldnt have got that Superman. I hope this line will go on for a long time so that all of my favorites will eventually show up.

I noticed that the figure body is not the same EMCE body that the Star Trek Mego repros had. These bodies are much more flexible it seems, almost to the point where i worry about them breaking. I may have to strip my Superman Naked and take some pictures to illustrate the differences.

So has anyone got any of the WGSH 's yet? Seems like folks here like the DC universe stuff more than the retro stuff.

I've seen what TRU and the lcbs are carrying. Unfortunately I have to tighten the belt a bit and reduce the amount of things I'm collecting. If I did pick these up it would be for nostalgic reasons only and that's just not enough reason to collect lines anymore sad.gif

Me too, i dont know if i want to buy any of the others like Sinestro or Lex Luthor, Black Manta. The bad guys i had as a kid were Joker, Penguin and the Riddler, so i wouldnt mind having them. So far all i have is Superman, a favorite. Wish they used the same head sculpt as mego used though. Cant wait for Batman to come out, i think he has a removable cowl.

I haven't bought any yet, but I've been eyeing off the line.

I'll be buying the Bat family for sure. They are my faves. And probably quite a few others.

I am totally on board with these.... I bought Superman on a whim at TRU and I was transported back into a 4 year old..... Something about contact with these brought up a ton of childhood memories.... yeah it was 20 bucks, but what the hell..... I now have Green Lantern, Lex Luthor, Sinestro and Batman.... waiting for the other three to hit TRU so i can snatch them up....

on a side note, I also started to collect the Star Trek re-issues.... and have the Universal Monsters on pre-order.... I am happy with the direction of my figure collecting...

I was getting out of the hobby because of lack of interest but this has brought me back and I am here for the "Mego" ride....

Anyone buy any of the new Mego Superheroes? Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are available from Meijers stores and a few online retailers. These are genuine Mego figures.
