For the Eaglemoss ships I've taken to ordering solely from TFAW.  Partially because they're relatively local, but mostly because if you know you want to preorder they discount Starship Collection preorders to $16 US, which is best deal I've found anywhere (20% off).  They also discount backorders for the same price, but not all of the older ships are available anymore.  Still hard to argue with a deal like that.

Being on the left coast I usually go for TFAW, BBTS or Entertainment Earth.  TFAW doesn't stock everything as they're comics first and foremost but they have some great preorder prices. BBTS has a great stock and is usually good about getting them in quick, but I'm just far enough away that ground shipping takes a few business days over a week.  EE has a huge inventory, but they seem to get DST stuff last (at least the last few times I preordered with them).

With everything else the shipping location can impact how long it takes your items to get to you:

TFAW ships out of Portland Area

EE: LA area

BBTS: Minneapolis/St. Paul Area

And actually if you're in the US and have Prime, keep an eye on the Amazon options when DST ships are about to come out.  I've had some really good luck catching pretty decent prices with prime shipping from third party sellers.  This option is the least like a proper preorder as you need to be careful about both Price/shipping rate and availability since Amazon 3rd party is sort of the wild west with plenty of decent sellers and folks looking to cash in on huge markup for both items and shipping.  Of these 4 options this one comes with the largest Caveat Emptor, but can still work out well if you have the time to order carefully and already have Prime.  If you don't, I've had fine luck with the TFAW, BBTS, and EE; and they would be my recommendation.

I think my plaque (NA sub) showed up with my Akira (which I believe was in the Reliant shipment) but that was a while ago. My next shipment may actually come with the AGT if I'm counting right.

Great videos guys, as always.  It made me want to go out and buy an Excelsior all over again even though I can see mine from where sit at my desk typing this.  She really is a home run. 

I've seen the stand issue on maybe 1/4 of the EM Defiants I've picked up (what can I say I really like this Defiant).  I didn't end up looking to get any replacements since the ship balances perfectly when the stand is on "backwards".  If most of mine weren't right that may have been different, but as I do have a couple extras I didn't bother.
