So are they going to come out with the Painted version of the Enterprise C (not gold) or not?
-Jim G.G.

I'd assume so, but who the hell knows anymore since they never show Trek merchandise at any event anymore.

From where? The Delta Quadrant?

"It's on the way."

From where? The Delta Quadrant?

Actually, it already got released.

We all bought it and had it in our homes.

But it was discovered that the paint contained a dormant virus that would release into the air as the product continued to age and decimate half of the population.

DST traveled back through time to warn themselves, and they destroyed all of the stock, resulting in this timeline.

We really should be giving them more credit for saving humanity, not complaining that it's taking so long to get an Enterprise-C that does not contain the virus.

We must wait for tomorrow's Enterprise.

Dang! I'd like to say DST doesn't deserve all this shade... but with all the delays on trek products its kinda tough.

RizzoPSU... I guess I got over all the disappointments years ago. If we ever get something new from DST that I like, I'll buy it... I did my best to buy and support most DST Trek products when they were at their peak... and I still love much of it... I just have no expectations that we'll see anything new, so I moved on.

From the latest Ask DST:

Alfredo P.
Hi there! Long time DST collector of star trek ships and figures, all releases have been beautiful & I love them all. Will Diamond Select continue to produce Trek items?

DSTChuck: We would love to keep going with Trek, and the Enterprise C is our priority — once we get all the issues worked out, we hope to solicit it officially for order.

They'd love to keep going with Trek by not releasing new product in years.

Feels like the word priority is misused.

Aren't there big model kits of this thing from the 1990s?

The AMT 1/1400 kit is fantastic. I had Prometheus here build me one a while back, and use the DST Ds second stand and it looks perfect with the rest of the DST Enterprises.

I'd love to know what the "issues" are. Transparency has never been Chuck's strong suit and it's led to an erosion of consumer confidence. He can insist it's none of our business but collectors are literally DST's business.

More non-information from Diamond's latest Ask DST:

Timothy B.

hi there, have you stop producing and selling the big(ish) StarTrek Starships, i can't find them at all, many thanks

DSTChuck: We are still working on the ships, but have had to work through several roadblocks; hopefully we’ll have some updates for collectors soon.

No other Trek questions were answered. I'm assuming no others were asked.

I am not surprised it has been 2 1/2 years since the prototype was on display at SDCC but I was hoping we would have this by now. Surely they have to pay CBS a licensing fee? Wouldnt they want to make money from a property they have licensed?
