Say what you will about ST V.....I actually enjoy it....but it has some GORGEOUS shots of the E here and there! I have a shot of her coming towards camera with the Great Barrier,or whatever, lol,in the background. LOVE it! And I LOVE the Yosemite Park bits, probably 'cos I love Yosemite Park so much.

Yeah... I went trawling through Trekcore to find a screengrab depicting that... but there wasn't one. I think I imagined it, sorry.
But I have seen it - maybe in TMP?!
I agree. I was able to find this pic which I do believe is from that first "psychedelic" warp scene in TMP.

Thats what you get when you hire the Lucas Arts "B" team.

That would be great. Thanks Zach.
Zach... I hope you understand...there is a shelf in my home that will NEVER be complete, until there is a matching USS Reliant sitting face to face with my USS Enterprise. I'm guessing I am not alone here and I have to assume you and the DST staff already know this...but I had to mention it.
Do people want a Reliant? I hadn't heard.

In any case, if the lighting scheme hasn't been revised (the deflector seems a lot brighter, but that could be more translucent paint in use there - great improvement!), then the impulse engine light is a warm white rice bulb, and the colour is inherited from the paint on the impulse manifolds.
It's a relatively small revision to re-colour them before release, and if it doesn't happen, I wouldn't be too upset.
Actually, let me use my umpteenth edit to look at the bigger picture on this one:
Yes, the saucer is still somewhat translucent to natural light, but the secondary hull and the impulse pod, that were practically transparent to internal light, have both been superbly and appropriately light-blocked, only allowing light through in the appropriate places, like the "impulse crystal" - which is outrageously fantastic...
Bravo, DST.
I believe the bulbs are all LEDs now, but I could be wrong. Deflector dish was something I alerted them to after the last production run, but we've had long convos here about the plastic type/thickness/color contributing to the saucer's translucency, and I think they are all factors. Painitng the interior is not a factory-feasible option, from what I have heard.

Indeed, I thought that would be the case - any custom job I've seen with an internally painted saucer looks a bit like Rihanna after date night.
But regardless, thanks for listening to us - you're the best!
Oh, and nice job, Kor'Tar and Sleep! I'm not insane after all!

Though I imagine that's not commercially viable for the factory.

OK, I went ahead and pre ordered this, maybe I can get the saucer section apart without damaging anything, and then painting the inside silver. I think there used to be a tutorial of sorts on how to do this, but I can't seem to locate it.

Just thinking out loud, but it might refract the light a bit, and prevent overhead light showing through the bottom.

I'm not even sure what this means, but it made me laugh.

This was always my favorite warp signature up till TNG era.

I was just looking at the ship on Amazon. What the heck is up with the paint scheme on this ship? Zoom in and have a look. What is up with the brown splatter all over the warp engines and lower engineering hull. I don't see anything like that image on other sites.
It looks like the Enterprise was just on an episode of Buckwild!

No offence to DST and all, but as bystander who's only bought one modern ship, how many TWOK Enterprise's have they made now? Just curious.

This is the new limited "Sh!tstorm Edition" in commemoration of all the complaints about the earlier release.
