I haven't weighed in on Discovery yet, been trying to keep an open mind, but I feel, in my opinion, they've taken it all in the wrong direction, again, and while I'll go in with an open mind, I'm struggling to like it, or get behind it. I get the feeling everyone with the money is waiting with baited breath to see if it bombs. It's been said so many times, but I see them back-peddling and saying it's part of the ditched anthology series.
I don't know, I'm just thinking out loud here, but who actually wanted Discovery in it's current form? Fans, and Netflix, wanted a prime timeline show for the most part, be that a post Nemesis, TOS, Cage, TWOK, TNG, Enterprise B timeframe, something like that. Kelvin timeline fans would want, well, a Kelvin timeline show? Though the whole JJ universe seems to have fizzled out imo. And whatever Joe Public wants, is Discovery it? From the reactions I've seen, no unfortunately. If the writings good, the actors can act, then I'll watch, regardless of my personal feelings. I just think you can kill a golden goose, and I hope this isn't the silver bullet.
Actually, off topic really, but sort of related to discussions above, I've been re-watching each post-TOS series from the start with as little bias as I can muster. DS9 stayed much the same, exceptional and in my opinion, almost perfect, with the added surprise of some great episodes scattered in S1-2 that I'd written off baring the pilot, Duet, and Blood Oath, and S3 showing significant improvements paving the way for S4-S7.
Voyager I'm currently working my way through, Season 2 at the moment, but I've got to say, maybe it's going in with low expectations (I'm quoting Senator Vrenak in my mind), but it's better than I remembered. Not exceptional, but consistently decent/good, once it found it's feet. Still got stuff like Threshold by the droves but, it's great to watch how the characters are developing, and finding those pretty good episodes I'd tossed aside previously in favor of watching Scorpion and Timeless for the trillionth time is a real treat.
TNG suffered a bit. I still love it, I really do but, just, not as good as my nostalgia tinted mind remembered in parts. But still third place behind DS9 and TOS for me.
Enterprise fared the worst though. Still watching (last episode of S3 currently) but I found it really, really hard to watch, while previously I really enjoyed it, just feels so very tired. Some of the characters have been "Neelix-fied" in mind (Hoshi), while others have majorly gone up though (Reed), it's quite sobering. S4 was much better from memory, here's hoping it lives up!

And I completely forgot when putting my post together, now that would be cool 3D printing wise. It's crazy to think that we're pretty much at that point right now, could finally do all those TNG/DS9 Klingons and a Hirogen convincingly! I know some folks in the Dr Who figure community are already experimenting with static figures with articulation, and some playsets.
Up next, some more DS9, with a dash of TNG and Voyager, plus a redeco of a custom playset. Any comments, critiques, or advice are always appreciated!

The issue with B5 is, for starters, it's merchandise. JMS has a personal thing against such stuff after experiences with toy company interference on the Real Ghostbusters and Captain Planet, we all know the worlds changed, and these are far from toys, so who knows? But this is why we had so few lines for B5 in its heyday.
Also, WB seems to have some personal vendetta about burying B5 and keeping it out of syndication, so no Trek style resurgence is possible. Plus, I don't know the details, but due to the way the CGI effects were done, HDing the show is pretty much impossible. So no showings, very few new fans, no exposure, and no backing by JMS, equals what we have now, zero B5 presence. I don't have sources for any of that, but much of the above has been floating around for awhile.
I'd personally love to see a Gerry Anderson line from Eaglemoss! Particularly with Captain Scarlet turning 50. Maybe they could do a "best of sci-fi" line or something akin to that?

Been out the picture for awhile, but it's been my only complaint that in the UK, if you opted in to the specials, they just take the money whenever without warning, though to be fair for the last two they've sent flyers in the box saying when at least. That may sound like me being overly critical, but it would've been nice to specify what specials I'd like vs the ones I end up with, or just receive a general email saying ".... is the next special, coming out etc etc".
Anyways, got 104 and 105 in the post! I'll post a quick couple of pictures later but, the Smugglers ship from Unification is much better than I thought, love the paint job, and it's much bigger and detailed than I gave it credit for, a nice surprise. It's the kind of design that makes me question, why didn't we get a Micro Machine of this back in the day?
But the Jenolan.., like many hear I suspect, Relics as an episode is very special to me for a number of reasons, and when we started getting Xindi ships and Malon freighters their was this small list of ships that hadn't been done, or only as kits, but I really wanted to see (Gorn starship, the J, the C, the Vidiian warship, the TAS freighter, a Daedalus class, and the Romulan Shuttle where most of the others of the top of my head). Great to finally see it sitting on my shelf.
I had no idea (though now I feel like an idiot because it's so obvious) that the Jenolan is a rework of the Galileo esque shuttle you see flying about in some of the films, then got reused in DS9 upside down and became even more iconic in my opinion via stock footage
