In my quest for finding other lines that are compatible with Playmates, I came across a Star Wars playset, a 1998 "Cantina at Mos Eilsey". Though it's not accurate, for £19 I'm very happy.

Any feedback on how to improve the bar is highly appreciated!

Without further ado:

Definitely looks promising.  Looks like all you need is to add a couple of the games that were in Quark's bar in the show, the Cardassian stickers you mentioned in the other thread and you're in like Flynn.  :)

Thanks both!

Well, here's my plan. I've made a crude Dabo table, from some cardboard and the dabo accessory that came with Leeta. However, there is literally no room to put it at the moment without blocking access to some part of the playset. But, I have a plan. They made one other playset in the same style, a Jabba's Palace set. I'm looking at getting two, one for Vic's lounge for my Vic Fontaine figure, and the other for a secondary Quark's set. It's the same size as Quark's, it's just got a set of stairs on the left hand side, and Jabba's pedestal on the far right, with an imaginary stair way in the middle.

My plan was to cover the paintings on the back on the pedestal, and place a dabo table on it, Quark's "flag" behind, and make some table and chairs from old paint canisters or something like that around it on the floor, then use the stairs as the stairs to the second and third levels.

But alas, this will be awhile away yet, maybe around October/November at the earliest.

I have actually put a few stickers on, one by the far right wall and one on the divider inside the bar. They look like this:

Just red and baige,  but I will be adding more (any suggestions on where to put them?), and at some point I'd like to add some Cardassian computer consoles around the place, plus some more exotic aliens via some other action figure lines!

Thanks for the feedback both, it's very much appreciated! Any updates, and I'm sure there will be, will be posted here, so stay tuned.

That does look pretty cool. I built a number of DS9-playsets from cardboard years ago. Unfortunately they are long gone and I never took any pictures. I had a full size OPS including Sisko's office, Odo's office, Quark's and other parts that could be assembled to make the promenade. Good old times...

The various aliens definitely make the atmosphere. I love the Pakled! Nice work!

Thanks!

Sounds very impressive, I bet they were great fun! I echo CB2001 and say I'd love to see some DS9 playset remakes. Thanks about the Pakled, he'll be posted soon in my other thread. Though I understand it's hard to see his head, any guesses at what I used as the base?

Good guess, but it's actually Picard's head! I have five spare Picard heads and two spare Lore bodies, so I thought, why not? I'm very pleased with the fact he looks different to Picard.

Didn't Playmates Leeta come with a Dabo Wheel as an accessory??

The only problem with it being below a regular figures knee, and it's overall shape looking more like Tongo than a Dabo table. But, with a bit of cardboard modification, you can get a pretty decent Dabo table from it.
