Since we all want a Reliant, and have been asking for a Reliant since the Art Asylum days, and the Reliant will display beautifully with the Enterprise refit, I am now 99.999% sure DST is making a USS Grissom.

That would certainly keep the theme of confusion and anger generated by their baffling Bird of Prey decision.

It's simple economics.  The Romulan Bird of Prey is THE cheapest Star Trek ship to produce:

very over-simple shape

Very few pieces to assemble in the factory

only two LEDs

 

and they can charge the same as their other, more expensive-to-produce ships

Romulan BoP is not very exciting

Klingon/Romulan Battlecruiser would have been more exciting for the 50th

Thanks for your opnions guys.  I have yet to see one in person due to nothing in the area to see.  I may have to order one on blind faith.

OK enough of that nonsense.
Do what I did:   I picked my absolute favorite ship of the ones released at that time and took a $20(plus shipping) shot.   I figured if I don't completely and unconditionally love it, I could always twist a twist-tie on it and hang on my XMas tree.  

But, I fell in love with my little USS Voyager and immediately bought more online.  And more.  Then even more.   I got my Local Comic Shop to order the yet-to-be-released ones through Diamond Distributing.    Now I can pick and choose the ones I want, as opposed to being a subscriber and being stuck paying for a Solar Sailer and Ferengi Marauder I will never put on display.

I suppose I should rank my other wants too, huh ?
