I imagine that if that Enterprise prototype ever made it to ebay it would be so expensive that many of us could only watch it sell to some rich collector somewhere.

That bridge doesn't look half=bad.
And I love the Romulan. Too bad they never got around to producing him. I wasn't the biggest fan of those toys, but at the time that was all we had for TNG stuff so I bought 'em and still have 'em... somewhere.

I thought the Die Cast Enterprise D was cool, but that's about it.

I had that too. It was my favorite toy (at the time) and whenever my sister and I would get into a fight, she would run into my room, grab my die cast Enterprise D, and threaten to break it. She was around 9 at the time.

Looking back, I guess it would have been hard to actually break die cast metal, but the young little boy didn't think of that.

After looking at the prototypes for the Romulan and Wesley (would have been cool to have him in that outfit), does anyone know why they shyed away from Deanna Troi and Dr. Crusher? Or was that still the era where it was thought boys wouldn't buy girl figures?

I just don't think they made it that far. I don't think retailer response to the first wave of toys and figures was great so the line was in trouble from the start.

It is possible they did shy away from the women slightly for series 1, but I'd still say they both would have appeared if a second assortment was created.

Ah well. sad.gif

And yes, that Enterprise Playset would have been awesome.

That mini-one that was made by Playmates in 1995 has been a pretty good substitute. For me anyway.

I bought the Galoob figures when they first came out. They were pretty good. But the phasers as part of the hands bugged me and why were the tricorders on straps?

But I wished I had found the Shuttlecraft that looked so nice. And it was a season 1 & 2 shuttle! Would've looked fantastic next to the PM shuttles etc.

Galoob made a bridge set?

Ask and ye shall receive: Galoob Prototype Photos

In case you ever want to find it again, go to NewForceComics' Trek Reference center>Galoob>bottom of the page is a link to the site.

The Galoob bridge, while interesting, would have ultimately been a dissappointment to most people. Does anyone own the shuttlecraft? That's the one thing from Galoob I've thought about going back and trying to buy.

The bridge apart from the individual pieces is a little out of scale.

The chairs, consoles look cool!

If I could find anything from Galoob it'll be the shuttlecraft. That thing looks awesome.

Crazy dreaming time...

It would be soo cool if DST went way back & finished some lines that went incomplete.

The Galoob Bridge/Transporter playset & a 4-pack of S1 Troi, S1 Bev, S1 Wes & Romulan to complete that line.

Uhura, Sulu, Checov & Chapel from the TMP line to fill out that Bridge playset. I'm still after that if anyone is ever selling it.

Ah, to dream! biggrin.gif

Atleast we will have a complete TOS Mego 8" line (hopefully). Very stoked about that.

I love the Galoob shuttle. It's so cute and plasticy, yet looks really good. The Ferengi ship loses points for generally being a) orange and, cool.gif so out of scale as to be funny. BUT they go well with the figures, and you don't often get that level of playability out of a trek accessory.

Any pics of the Shuttle anyone?

I have yet to pick up any of the aliens from the Galoob series. Which is odd really! Are they easy to track down? (barring the Romulan ofcourse)

Was the official number of Wesley & Roumlan figures produced 500 each?
