All this time leading up to now I was only a want ta be collector because you can't be a real Trek Figure Collector until you have one of these. Today, I cross that threshold and become a REAL Trek Collector!!

hello all
congrats!... I still have some of my childhood romulans, but all the hands are chewed off (I used to pretend they got phaser'd off, so they couldn't hold weapons)...

I have had a complete MOC set and loose set, including all the card and type (1 and 2) variants, but I never seem to be able to "keep" the collection, as I always end up selling something to someone, and then I try to replace myself... but, it is fun to collect mego's!

I bet they are pretty chewed up too. Just curious Mark, when did you realize your Romulan had the wrong boots on, before or after we started razzing you about it?

There is just nothing like finally owning a rare Romulan Mego smile.gif
Just curious if the boots you have on the way are original or repro?

So i guess that means that you ARE NOT really a Trek figure collector since the boots are repro. I have the repro Romulan and i am perfectly happy with it. If a Original Romulan came along at a reasonable price i would probably get it, but otherwise i am completly happy as is.

Well

They are from the same mold and are in the proper color, if that helps, not the purple that the new ones are. I am still looking for a 70's pair.

I have a friend that's buys Bike shoes. They look just a Nike if you don't look close.

The boots are too shinny, sadly. I'm going to keep looking for a original pair, in the meantime I'm going to take some shine off them. I guess that I'm not that a big of a hurry, but I will be searching until I find a pair. Anyway, the updated photo.

They do look so much better than the Klingon boots but wow, they are shiny. Looks like he could almost shave using them as a mirror biggrin.gif
Assuming of course that Romulans had to shave...Hmmm...
