Well, it could be the regular one. Is the collar black or the same color as the shirt? The regular one is a standard yellow shirt kirk with a black collar. The WNMHGB is wearing a gold shirt with a ribbed collar.

Cool, I will try and look tonight...I'm pretty sure it's going to be a different skin tone though. I may have an extra hand that will match... I will look.

Anti-Hero- the skin tones are pretty different. You'd have to do a head switch to make it work. I'll see if I can find you a hand that works...

Thank you for the review. I was thinking of buying that chair, and your review is very encouraging. I was also thinking it might be cool to replace the Kirk head with one from the new Kirk being released this summer. Do you think that would be really difficult to do with this figure? Also, a question about the shirt...you say it's not the best shirt sculpt of all the Kirks DST has released so far. Which one are you talking about that is better? The shirt on the original Wave 1 Kirk?

It should be fairly easy to do a head switch, as long as DST doesn't make a drastic change to they way they make the figures in TOS Wave 5... Hopefully it will be a quick boil and pop!

The shirt on the original Art Asylum Kirks is much better, yes. When DST started making Kirks, for some reason they use the McCoy shirt mold. Since the AA McCoy is slimmer, the shirt doesn't fit the Kirk-style body as well.... Like I said though, the color is much better on the surrent DST ones though.

This is my personal favourite from TOS wave 1 actually. I have a loose one and one still MOC. A terrific likeness of Spock.

It's all right. I'm holding out for the one in the Romulan Kirk 2 pack which I think has a way, way better and more true-to-life face sculpt.

Sallah, great minds think alike. I used an extra Terrell to make that Capt. Kirk for the same reason. Perfect for a quick custom. I am having the best time reading your reviews. I look forward to them each day kinda like a where's waldo of trek reviews. (hmmm Mego,Playmates or DST/AA today-which will it be?) biggrin.gif

I like the Khan Retro figure, it fits in very well with the rest of the retro Star Trek figures.
