Hiya Fellow Trek-o-holics: I'm new to this forum and this is my first post, so please be gentle! Just got this e-mail from online retailer, Die Cast Alley. They're announcing a new Johnny Lightning Star Trek series, wave 4. Its a 6 ship "icon collection" scheduled for release in September 2007. I thought that this series was cancelled. I'm giddy with delight with the prospect of more Trek! I've already pre-ordered! Anyone know why the reversal of fortune for this line?
Here's the link: http://dcastalley.st.../jolitr4co.html

Out.

Thanks for the news, 2th guy! This came out of nowhere. I'm glad to see this line isn't dead after all!

Wow!! I though this line was dead too. Very Interesting line up. USS Majestic With Explosions, I had to google this one.

QUOTE
The USS Majestic (NCC-31060) was a Miranda-class Federation starship in the 24th century.

The Majestic was an active participant in the Dominion War. In 2374, the Majestic was part of the fleet assembled by Captain Benjamin Sisko for Operation Return.

During the battle, the Majestic and the Sitak escorted the USS Defiant as the ships attempted to break through the Dominion lines. It was severely damaged after its saucer section was penetrated by a beam, and finally destroyed after a torpedo destroyed its starboard nacelle. (DS9: "Sacrifice of Angels")

The USS Defiant With Phasers has me a little confused. Don't all Starfleet ships come with phasers huh.gif and USS Enterprise D With Extras??? What Extras. I'm looking forward to seeing these just to find out that the hell they mean With Explosions, With Phasers, With Extras and With Photon.

However, with the exception of the USS Defiant it looks like they will all be repaints unless they mean the USS Defiant (NCC-1764) Constitution-class and not the USS Defiant NX-74205 from DS9.

I don't think any of us should get excited over these. If they are anything like the last 2 series we will never see them dry.gif . I can rarely find the last series on ebay and when I do they are so over priced that I wont buy them. I really wanted to get excited when I saw this thread but wont let myself untill I actually have at least one of these in my hand rolleyes.gif . Now back to my search for the last series wink.gif .

I pre-ordered my sets from diecast alley, never seen a single ship on the pegs in any store here, I heard they were for sell at this store and that store but I never laid eyes on one.

Yeah. I have never seen them in any store. I ordered all of my JL ships from Die-Cast Alley, Die-Cast Express, and New Force.

BTW, what is the USS Majestic? Is that a Galaxy class ship? Was that from one of the late DS9 episodes?

For those who have a Newbury Comics near them, I have seen almost all the previous JL ships there... which is one of the many reasons it is my favorite store!

The Majestic and the Sitek were running cover for the Defiant during the retaking of DS9. My heart really goes out to those two ships when I see them go, because the captains had to have known that leaving a ship that old that exposed would be suicide. Yet they did it anyway, for the good of the federation.

t the USS Defiant NX-74205 from DS9.

I'm gonna guess that Defiant with phasers means it'll have attachable (or permanently attached) blast effects to appear to be firing phasers. Same with the Enterprise-A and Majestic, they'll likely all be clear plastic pieces.

Here's some examples:

The Enterprise-D with extras I'm assuming refers to the AGT Enterprise.

I believe they already did an AGT Enterprise in wave 3.

If they are removable that will be Ok but if they are permanent I may pass.

Thanks for that, Roger. Huh. What an odd choice. I guess it was just an excuse to reuse the Reliant mold. Not that I'm complaining. I personally think the Reliant was one of JL's best ships. If they choose to upgrade the paint scheme as well, it will be even better.

Ah, was trying to look up if they had but couldn't find any place that listed the entire waves. I've got no clue on the Ent-D then.

The original description for Wave 4 said that it would have battle damage from Generations... maybe the stardrive will have blast marks and the bow of the saucer will be burnt up from the landing?

Odd that they didn't do the U.S.S. Venture as a Galaxy class variant; that would've been fairly easy. Since the rest are repaints I'm assuming the Defiant will not be the DS9 ship but the "In a Mirror, Darkly" version. Still happy to see this line revived... hopefully it'll be successful and we'll start to see more new ships, especially from the TNG era. I'd love for them to complete the Enterprise lineage and do the 1701-B and 1701-C.
