I am primarily a collector of the older Mego trek toys and thought I would share some pics. This one needs no intro to the Mego trek toy collectors but this is a classic. wink.gif This one has never been taken out of the box. Unfourtunently it has a corner ding sad.gif

Too bad that Mego didnt make more figures and playsets for Star Trek collectors. Mego toys, including Super heroes such as Batman and Superman and the Star Trek figures and the Bridge set were great toys that i had as a kid and enjoyed them a great deal. I had the Batcave, bat cycle, Batmobile and all of the Batman foes to go with it. One neat thing about the Mego stuff was that the heads and clothes were interchangable so you could have Captain Kirk wearing a Batman contume or Spock driving the Batmobile on his date with Wonder woman. You should have seen the custom Spock my sister made that had a Penguin (from Batman) body attached to a Spock head. Never saw Spock with a pot belly?lol

I really liked the mego toys. I am only missing one of the Trek Mego sets (The planatarium). I think the people who created the head sculpts were some of the best. I wounder if they did any other figure heads once Mego closed down.

hello all...
I found that about 10-15 years ago, the Planetarium was a "tough" piece to procure MIB...but, with the advent of ebay, I bet I have seen a dozen + offered (in varying states) over the last 8-9 years, so while still a tough piece, you should be able to get one...I sold all my mego and remco toys over the past years (always regret it, but when you have bills to pay!), and the Planetarium was the Mego I held onto longest...

The Planetarium must be the Intergalactic Projector which is in the second commercial shown here:

I had never heard of it or the corny "Trekulator" LOL.

Other stuff of course:

My what, some memories there!

Yes, 30 years ago when those commercials were on saturday morning during the cartoons. How much fun we had back then! I have heard of all of those mego items, but i never had any of them other than the figures and the bridge for the figures. Those commercials would be very corny by todays standards, but back then they were very cool. Really takes me back....
