Went and saw this tonight.

Sadly, it probably deserved some of the poor critical ratings, mostly due to hap-hazzard way they introduced the characters, plot holes, and I thought they struggled with blending and gelling such a large cast.

Still... it did exceed my expectations (they were low!)... I had hoped for a decent level of development between Harley and Joker, and in that regard I felt Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie delivered.... i'd have liked more, but it was adequate.

DC movies are always so Dark... they need to get off that band wagon IMO.

I def would like to see a Joker / Harley Quinn spin off.

I saw this movie last Saturday night and I really liked it.  I had very little previous knowledge of the comic, as I was never a DC guy really.

Anyway, I think Margot Robbie stole the show.  Harley Quinn was the breakout character.  And Jared Leto's Joker was the best since Jack Nicholson, IMO.

They really only tried to develop Deadshot, Quinn and the Joker. Will smith did a fine job. But I agree that Robbie and Leto were the stand outs

I'm not a huge DC guy either but I did know the comic back story on Quinn/Joker  and I thought they did a good job fleshing it out.

Its much better than Batman V Superman IMO.

I really enjoyed it. Thought it was fun and that all of the cast did a great job.

Nope, meth head joker. Not in the least scary or intimidating. I honestly think he should give his Oscar back.

I'm wondering how many little Harleys and Jokers I'll see this Halloween. Almost makes me want to get out my Joker costume to show them what a real Clown Prince of Crime is like. B)

However, with all the "creepy clown" sightings here in the States, I won't be surprised if paranoid parents veto those choices. Hell, I'm not sure I'D want to wear anything even close to such a look given all the coulrophobia lately. Talk about suicide squad.

As for the movie, I enjoyed it but am convinced there's a much better version awaiting us on home video someday. The studio interference couldn't have been more obvious. They really need to stop deferring to focus groups and trust creatives to do the jobs for which they were hired.
