I might just like MM Universe figures as much as TheHsbr... maybe :-)

Anyway I'm calling Archer, Mayweather and Reed done!

Critiques are always welcome!

Basically these are the Enterprise Heads swapped on to a Kirk, T&T O'brien and Dax bodies.

Archer was too short and Trip is suposed to be the shortes, but was the tallest so I also swapped the bottom parts... it didn't really get the scale correct, but now they are all basically the same height.

The Dax base body was re-sculpted to make her a bit taller and her legs skinnier. As soon as I find my epoxy-sculpt modeling solution I'll add Trips scar and finish re-sculpting T'pol's head/hair.

BTW... basically I only re-sculpted the thigh parts on the Dax figure... showing that if DST just re-did those two parts they would have a base figure suitable of nurse Chapel.... 'just say'in DST!

Here's a WIP teaser of Trip & T'pol!

Very nice!! I like the added detail on Archer with the flipped defiant logo! I neglected to do that on my first go around! Ill try to post my WiP of Sato in the standard blue uniform later. Im glad somebody else is enjoying my love of the Mirror Universe!!

Heres my WIP pic. They both still need a lot of work. One Im going to make into Sato or T'Pol and the other into one of the Orions onboard Enterprise.

I like that Vala choice as a base figure, but ultimately, the MM Hoshi and T'pol reg duty uniform is a much "cleaner" looking uniform.

What I'd do is start with what you've done to expose the mid-riff and then resculpt the rest to clean up the over all appearance.

I'd probably try replacing the arms with some TOS arms as I don't think the elbow joint works well, and then use Apoxie Sculpt to "smooth" out the pants and top.

Also she needs the right kind of boot!

you can see it in this shot!

I love the Mirror Universe universe too. I have been thinking about doing some of these customs as well. But first I need two more Tucker EVA suit figures to make a Malcolm and Mayweather EVA custom. Then I can move on to mirror universe. The Symbols look great the way you have done them.

Thanks!

I just did those two custom EVA figures myself! I'll have to post Picts!

"In a Mirror Darkly" Archer with Porthos!

Just a few black paint touch ups is all it needed!

Replying to an old post in hopes of guidance! I'd have used the pics, but they're gone now it seems. How did you go about doing Archer's head? It's a tight fit on Kirk's body... I can do it, but it kinda puffs out his neck a little.

Thanks for any input!

The answer to that depends on if you know how to use a dremmel. I don't know if I did this, but since the neck isn't too puffy, I may have.
Clean out the cavity in the neck with a rotary tool, use a drill bit if that is the best you have, rubbing against the edges. You could alternately pull the pin from both figures, and use them in the other's bodies. Hope that helps.

That's what I was afraid of... I've only dared venture into the boil-and-pop area thus far. wink.gif

Boil and Pop the heads, and then the posts too. You might need to boil a bit longer, a pair of needlenose pliers will help.
Switch out the pegs, they will be like little dumbbells, be sure to return them in the right way.
Put on the new heads, you might as well put Kirk on the Archer body now, to keep it connected to something.
That should work for you, if the bottom of the peg is too small, put some glue in it and let it dry straight up, you dont need the extra articulation.
Good Luck and show us your results... Oh T'Pol will be hard, as she has a different neck then Dax...

I think all I did was use a dremmel to cut out some of archers brains!

It's easier then you think., so give it a go!
