Tasha's my favorite character, and since DST doesn't seem to be making her, I gave it the ol' college try.

It looks more like the SGA Carter fgure to me. Nice work.

And, SS - no more customs in the future! Its too nerve wracking for me. I get a little pent up and worried about paint line. Aaaaah!
And yes - I used the SGA Carter head, and a Beverly body. It was my first attempt with boiling & popping (which has also always sscared the heck outta me, but was crazy easy). I was able to pull out Carter's ponytail very easily pre-boil & pop.
As per a suggestion from The HSBR when I shared my idea with him, I used an exacto knife to shave down her collar right after I boiled and popped Bev's head off. Then I sanded her neck to make sure it was smooth.
Painting was pretty straightforward. For the shoulder "triangle", I used electrical tape to create borders and painted between the lines, let it dry & then removed 'em. Lightened up Carter's hair. And the rest was just flesh toned paint on the neck & hands to match the new Tasha head, yellow for the uniform and some black for touch ups here & there.
I still hope she quickly becomes obsolete, and DST brings us an official Tasha!!!!

I might have to try and make one myself.
Honestly though, the next easiest Season 1 TNG figure for DST to do would be a S1 Worf.
The S1 Riker body will work for Worf, and it just needs a new head sculpt.
For some reason I think a S1 Worf & S1 Yar would make a nice 2-pack... and even though I'd probably purchase a complete S1 Bridge Crew, a S1, Yar, Picard, Riker, & Worf would make a decent display.
Plus a Yar would get me one figure closer to at least one version of every character I would like to see done for TNG.

I would prefer it used for Tasha over the Troi body. It would much better reflect her height & build (from memory).
And an S1 Worf & Tasha 2-pack is an excellent idea.

After seeing your Tasha, I feel tempted to try and do one for me. You said you used a SGA Carter's head and I was wondering if DST changed the scale of the SG action figures because some guys said the SG1 action figures were smaller than the Star trek ones. The reason I'm asking that is that I need a pair of naked arms to do a custom and I`ll buy a Desert Carter, so if the scale is the same, maybe I could use Desert Carter's head to do a Tasha.
