Huh??
Was just browsing Play.com and I saw a page for Riker in his chair, no picture though... are they lying? Or do they know something we dont?
Riker + Chair = Huh?

The speculation about this has been flying around for a while now but we have not been given the "official" word yet.

Eh, I think that Rick has been as unofficially official as he can be about hinting that this is going to be a Newforce exclusive. I am sure we'll be getting an announcement sometime soon.

This is great. I will definately get this one. I want the chair but did not realy want another crazy crotch Picard figure but I will definatley welcome another Riker figure. Awesome.

Yeah, it's too bad we won't get his actual chair. But, I plan on giving the extra Captain's chair to Admiral Riker.
Now we need first season versions of Geordi, Data, Worf, Troi, Beverly and obviously Yar.
(Preferably with bridge pieces...) I assume these will have to sell well though.

With all these captain's chairs flying about I want to know when DST decide to put me out of my misery and announce they're doing Picard in the Enterprise E chair. Surly that is just begging to be done?

I'd think the earliest we'd hear about anything like that would be around Toy Fair in February. And I would think an announcement like that would depend on sales of the S1 Picard and Riker with chairs. I think we only got these because the TOS chairs did well last year, but TOS always does well. So only time will tell if the TNG releases perform as well. If it does, I'm sure we'll see more captain's chair releases.
Personally, I'd like to see a Kirk and chair from the movies as well and a Sisko with Defiant chair. If they ever expand outside of captain's chairs, it would be cool to have a Sisko wtih his office desk and maybe even the window behind his desk as a diorama.

If he can't I'm sure the legs can be swapped from S1 Riker. Just paint over the red piping and you're done. Chances are the S1 Riker is based on the same general parts as the wave 1 Rikers for the most part, so a parts swap should be possible.

Finally opened mine up and checked it, he can't sit due to the overlapping tunic.

Ah, right. He has the stiff jacket instead of the soft material used on the AGT LaForge and Data and the TWOK figures. Too bad.

Anyone know when Riker and Command Chair (and Picard with Command Chair) are going to be released? I didn't order them, but I might pick up Riker at a Newbury Comics.

On DST's site it says it was due to be released, well... yesterday. On another page it says tomorrow. So my guess is, lacking any supporting information, that we'll see it in 4-5 months.
