Yes that's correct, you'll have to order it separately. Like the Mirror 1701.

Yeah she looks beautiful. I'm guessing this is a prototype? Yellow nacelles?

Hi-res, courtesy of Ben on twitter:
https://pbs.twimg.co...A48job.jpg:orig

Ben also stated on Doug's post that this is a very early prototype paint-wise, and him and Doug have already given corrections to the factory. Drexler is delighted with it already though. :)

Just picked up a Bajoran Raider today in Forbidden Planet, and it's a gorgeous little ship - looks like it came through a portal from the Star Wars universe, but I do love the ship and vehicle designs from that universe (not much else though lol).

Is that going to be a normal issue size? It looks very frail.

It is. Drexler said he was impressed with the build quality, if that means anything.

I'm sure it isn't as fragile as it looks. I'd just be paranoid the nacelles would just snap right off.

I'd imagine this would be mostly die cast.  Its a normal issue (though as far as Im concerned this deserved a SE) but even then it looks fairy sizable.

So this is going to be a stupid question, so I apologize before hand, but as a subscriber, do we have to order the new Mirror NX-01 advertised everywhere, or will it just turn up?

And can I just say, wow. Loving the Enterprise-J.....

If I remember correctly, you do have to order it separately (as with the mirror 1701 and shuttles).

EDIT: Considering the J is going to be a regular issue, those pylons and nacelles would be really difficult to be die-cast. I'll bet that the only metal part on this one, will be the saucer. The drive section plus forward deflector will more than likely be plastic.

Just looking at the pictures, the nacelles and secondary hull looks to be plastic.

I'm not a fan of the J design at all but am very happy they are doing it for you guys that are. For me that means there is a chance for Titan.

I'd love to hear if Ben has anything to say on the Titan at the comic-con panel. I'm hopeful he'll do it as well, due to the NX-01R having been such a success.

Back to the J - I agree with JMW as well, it's not for me, but I share his sentiments about being happy for those who like it, thus I'll post new news when I get it. :)

Ben has shared two more pictures of the prototype with Doug Drexler on facebook. He's also mentioned that it'll be on sale around January, which would make it one of the last ships in the initial run of 110.

Those nacelles look insanely fragile. This is definitely one you should display on top of a cushion! lol

I wanted to share this picture the other day, as I'm really excited about this one. It was posted to their facebook page by a guy who's a subscriber, and won't be on sale for another two weeks:

Vreenak's Romulan Shuttle (Romulan Runabout would be more fitting lol). This ship - designed by Doug Drexler - has been a favourite of mine for years, and is yet another in the category of 'I can't believe a model is being made'! One new titbit of information is that it's 1:204 scale. The Orinoco is 1:201 scale, so these two will definitely be sitting next to each other on my shelf. :D

The Romulan shuttle is a hit for me, its a great model, had forgotten is was subs delivery time in the UK this week and they just appeared. The Neelix ship is good, but the Romulan shuttle steals the show.

If it's possible to have hype for a small metal ship, then my hype is through the roof with this:

http://trekclivos79....collection.html

I've no idea when I'll get it, because shops here don't stock them, and it generally takes a few months for Eaglemoss' store to get them in stock (and a few months more for Forbidden Planet's website to do the same). But I'm easily as-excited for this now as I was the Defiant, Orinoco and Grissom. :D

I got my special edition refit NX-01 today. This is a very impressive ship. I'm very happy with it.
