Well, what a stationary shot for a product like that.

Looks like a Goa'Uld death glider if Stargate got re-imagined. And the spirit animal of this thing seems to be a moth more than a bird :D

The model itself has nice details and seems fairly big, just thought the middle blue part was translucent, shame.

#88935 USS Enterprise A

I just received my re-issue from Amazon(I think the retailer is called Toy Zany or something like that, but Amazon handled everything in the process). The model itself looks great but still has some of the same issues as before, some others are better. The registry is still misaligned, the nacelles are bend inwards(though not as bad as some others have it) and now it is missing the "United Federation Of Planets Starship USS. Enterprise" lettering at either side of the saucer section(where the docking port is located)

But apart from that is looks really crisp, nothing bad to say about the paint job, everything except the aforementioned seems to be spot on. The sounds are crystal clear and VERY loud, much noisier than on the previous ships like the Klingon BoP or Excelsior. There are also no factory mishaps, like the overuse of glue or scratches, or parts that don't fit together. Only thing that has scratches is the deflector, but that doesn't really bother me personally.

Light bleed is still an issue at the common spots(warp nacelles, impulse deck, bridge) but there seems also some super bright LED inside the saucer which illuminates the better top half of it when you activate the sounds in any other light than bright daylight(inside a room).

I hope to I'll be able to snap some pictures of her, maybe a vid for the weekend, pics tend to speak more than a thousand words :D

In before they travel back through time with the USS Franklin in Star Trek 14 to save some humpback whales...

Glad your new NX-2000 turned out to be much better than your first one, even including the sensor bands. But after the errors of your first one, it only could get better lol.

Now DST, please make a Enterprise-D version with open shuttle bay doors, fully lit and shuttles inside. Maybe a SDCC exclusive? ;)

I'm all in for a NX-2000 Excelsior with anthracite colored warp field grills as ComicCon exclusive... no really, I have no idea what other variants could be done with the NX-2000, except some random new sounds. Maybe the whole dialogues from the "Stealing the Enterprise" scene? Each phrase activated by pushing the bridge dome:

*pushes button* "Aaaand now Mr Scott!"

*pushes button* "Sir?"

*pushes button* "The doors, Mr Scott!"

*pushes button* "Aye aye, Sir, I'm working on it!"

:D

Can't wait. I'd love to see a Centaur class in the 50's.

And just for the hell of it, ISN'T IT NICE knowing about stuff that won't be out until this time next year! lol

It is even worse for us in Germany, the collection here will start in January :S

It was also said the TNG Romulan Warbird and Galor class a not amongst the next "few". So my bet on the new alien ship would be either the TOS Romulan BoP, or the D7/K't'inga. Another interesting note, the word "Reliant" was tagged, but I was unable to find anything about the Reliant, whether a question or an answer. My bet on the next Fed-ship would've been the Reliant/Miranda class anyway, especially considering there are not much choices left to do that would probably sell well. And I see the Miranda class way before an Akira, Nebula or Constellation, for example.

Actually,38 was supposedly J,and the list of 70 was only 69,which was TOS Enterprise. But that was just a tentative list of course, had a bunch of cool specials and some extra ships as well,if they were to go beyond what was numbered. We'll see when the time comes, lol.

J-R!

The more the merrier!

Throwing my money at the screen right now for the Maquis Raider! Awesome! Romulan BoP also looks great. And I can imagine lots of people can't wait to get their hands on the Enterprise-C.

A quite obvious variant for Voyager would be the "Living Whitness" one, in which Voyager has been altered with some additional Phaser-Cannons. That would be very easy to achieve, but I don't know if such a version would be popular enough to sell well.. other variants like the "Year of Hell" or the one with the additional armor from "Endgame" would definately be more popular, but also more expensive to produce.

Anyways, Voyager would not be on my list(as I have the Bandai model and am very happy with it, even though the lights don't work anymore lol)

I am planning to make those color variations aswell, including navigational and position lights. The overall paintjob looks a bit "simple" to me. But still much better than you would expect from a model in this price category.

I still think that an "Oh Myyy" phrase would get you lots of extra sales ;)

#72427 Stargate SG1 and Atlantis Lego knockoffs

Posted by DefiantOne on 12 October 2013 - 03:57 PM

I've seen them available at Amazon and other online stores, but the quality seems really bad judging by the user ratings and comments. The parts won't fit, come apart and there are even some parts missing regularly. So no doubt you will have to glue some parts together in order to get the complete model stay put. But the huge benefit is the low price and of course, Stargate models!
